For me, the first four works of Gabriel all fall into a single category, that of post-Genesis. The rest is, to me, truly a different production. Among these first four, perhaps this second work ("Melt" as many like to call it) is the one I feel most fondly towards and, for some reason that transcends technique or collaborations, I love the most. But I may not be objective, perhaps. A personal and interesting review, even if you haven’t even slightly touched upon one of the best tracks, Mother of Violence...

I’ve wanted and need to see it since it came out. Here in Milan, it’s been showing in a theater for 2 months; they even dedicated a series of evenings with discussions for it. And I still haven’t managed to attend a single one. But I must see it. To say that it is disturbing is the least, considering who the director is and that the direction of this film is a direct consequence of a personal experience he had regarding it, so there’s really not much detachment from the director… it’s more like a documentary, really, a serious and direct reflection on the theme of pain and loss, the inevitable kind. The review is very well written but perhaps too rich in details (I mean, it’s not a thriller, eeh, we know how it ends. But….)... Bye.

I don't know if it's my thing, especially with all this misogyny... But the review really amused me. Now, just to spite it, I'll download it and then listen to it while pretending to be indifferent as I do something else...!

And in fact, I was wondering how it was possible that, months after the release of the CD, no one had written about it yet. And by procrastinating, even I ended up writing it, you did a great job :) I loved it especially for "What Would the Community Think?" unlike others, I got reconnected with it through this work that literally drives me crazy. It’s truly upbeat, as the title suggests, despite its reputation and the fact that it doesn't lack darker moments here as well. In short, I still love it! Well done, Bore, for filling the gap.

So come on, you wrote it! I bought it on vinyl a million years ago, when, caught up in the Prog wave and the moment, I wanted the entire discography of all past and future members of the original band (including Anthony Phillips), a project that wasn't fully realized. I must admit this is the one I've listened to the least, having a visceral and everlasting love for "Spectral Mornings." Maybe I'll give it another listen to see what I've missed in these last "without" years... Thanks for the inspiration!
