Carpathian Forest Morbid Fascination of Death

I'm such a crazy idiot!!! I just realized, after years of listening to Carpathian Forest, that it's Nattevand and not Nattervost.... come on!.... and no one corrects me? It's not like it's an irreparable damage for humanity, but... you know when you have something stuck in your head... fuck me...

Vincent, I consider black metal among my favorite genres, but I remain more attached to the classics of the nineties (with the exception, of course, of the indestructible Bathory): Darkthrone, Mayhem, Burzum, Satyricon, Ulver, In the Woods, Arcturus, Immortal, Enslaved, Dissection, Ophthalamia, etc. (and, honestly, whether considered black or not, also the early Cradle of Filth). I think the most beautiful albums are A Blaze in the Northern Sky / Under a Funeral Moon / Transilvanian Hunger, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, Nattens Madrigal, and Filosofem... I would love to write a review one day on one of these albums (especially the last two)... there would be many interesting things to discuss, both stylistically and conceptually as well as ideologically, given the complexity with which these three aspects intertwine in black metal, but I see that there has been plenty of discussion on these groups on Debaser, so I'm filling in gaps with Carpathian Forest, which I consider more rock 'n' roll than black... thank you all, and especially the editors who corrected the error in the title... and I see they even did it every time the title appeared throughout the review... thank you, you are true treasures!

I’ll tell you, I didn't mind the last of the psychic, even though it’s not great, maybe because it’s rock and it was summer when I bought it. However, it’s very different from the previous works; I appreciate it as a revival (unfortunately not always inspired)... it had the opposite effect on me than on you: I liked it at first but it got tedious pretty quickly... it’s clear that p-orridge doesn’t have much left to say... the best way to find these CDs is to go to flea markets or dark concerts and raid the CD stands... every now and then you might find a gem... you enter a tiring world, a jacket where you’ll crave CDs and won’t be able to have them, and only with time, patience, and diligent searching will you be able to find what you’re looking for... especially when you’re abroad, don’t let your guard down...

Holy shit, just a little question... listen, you can find all the Death in June albums; they've been reissued in recent years, while Coil and C93 are starting to be repressed in bits and pieces after the record label went under... for Psychic TV, I think you'll only find the latest one; the others are practically all out of print. (I’ll put a + in parentheses for the ones you can find) I'll be ultra-essential. Death in June: but what ends when the symbols shatter? (+), nada! (+). Next up, brown book (+), wall of sacrifice (+), and rose clouds of holocaust (+). C93: dogs blood rising, imperium, thunder perfect mind (+), of ruine of some blazing starre (?), all the pretty little horses (+, in the trilogy inmost light), soft black stars (+). Coil: horse rotorvator, love's secret domain, musick to play in the dark 1 and 2 (+). Psychic TV: force the hand of chance (but it seems like you’ll only find the latest hell is invisible...hell is her/e, which isn’t too bad...). I recommend reading my reviews, so you understand better what you’re getting into... bye!

what a beautiful thing, I made a mistake writing the album title, which is morbid fascination of death and not fashination...mea culpa mea culpa mea culpa...I self-flagellate with a 1 (hoping that out of pity the editors will correct the title...)

tepes, since requests can be made, at this point I ask you out loud for "Rotten Perish" by the Swiss band Messiah, another gem to add to the collection of forgotten death metal albums...
Queensrÿche Warning

...there's something that doesn't add up... queensryche metal-prog? The Warning best work? sure the world is really diverse... I can understand that they were the first in metal to give a more conceptual twist to their albums, that they produced intelligent, refined, elaborate works outside the norms of classic metal, that they influenced the evolution of various fates warning and dream theater and the entire metal prog scene, but including them in the scene seems out of place (especially for the early albums) and reductive for themselves... then I go check the archive and discover that there's no review of The Promised Land, an extremely important work (in my opinion their true masterpiece)... but we are in bad shape here, folks, just put yourselves in the shoes of a young person who doesn't know queensryche...

Come on massicras, it's your time, and I think that in the end you know more than I do... I don't know the sixth comm, while I have a collection of Crisis, but they don’t really blow me away (kind of like punk in general doesn’t blow me away...).
