Paolo Conte, the lawyer born in Asti on January 6, 1937, who left his father's practice to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter, enchanting us with his poetic lyrics and perfect melodies.

The Best Of was released in '96 and is a collection of his greatest masterpieces, including classics like Via con me, Boogie, Sparring Partner, Gelato al limon, Genova per noi, and many other breathtaking songs... Songs that feel more like poetry due to the sophistication and mystery evoked by the lyrics, and I honestly never would have believed that a lawyer could be so poetic.

Of course, certain songs, like Happy Feet, have nonsensical lyrics, but the melodies and double meanings manage to rescue all the songs on this magnificent CD, earning it a 5.

You're here giving me a hard time about how I wrote the review of awake, "it seems like it was written by a 7-year-old," okay fine I didn't write it perfectly, but what you wrote is CRAP, then you only look at lyrics and melodies (like those who don't understand anything about music on a theoretical level)... do you know what a bass is? a guitar? keyboards? drums? I doubt it...

I don't have this album yet, but I'll get it. I think the fact that there's no ballad on this CD is a shame. Good job on the review, but you could have mentioned a few titles and said things like "this song is heavy, this one vibes me, this other one has the sun." Limataien and Portino don't mean anything to you?
