I Pooh Uomini Soli
Voto:
The Pooh, "Lonely Men," the triumph at Sanremo, the praise of good feelings: everything predictable, everything trivial, primordial molasses. However, "You Will Live" was nice.
Jethro Tull Live/Bursting Out
Voto:
What an exaggeration! Stunning, magnificent, exceptional, but come on, let’s be serious. It’s true that a decade of successes is encapsulated in this, it’s true that it sounds great, but it’s still a live performance, and it loses that refined charm that studio recordings had. Moreover, live performances need to be done well: the Who made the best one in history ("Live at Leeds"), here the Jethro Tull are just copying their hits without even a shred of originality. So, buy a studio album, you won’t hear the screams in the background, but it’s practically the same thing. I’m one of those who believes in live performances, but only if they are original and not identical to the product they originate from. Still, I repeat, it sounds fantastic, too bad that, as chronicles say, Anderson wasn’t particularly happy about it.
Roberto Vecchioni Per Amore Mio
Voto:
Well, it’s not exactly one of Vecchioni's best works. "Quelli belli come noi" is a bit of a convoluted nonsense, with metaphors and rhymes; perhaps it’s an experiment that’s too self-indulgent.
Le Orme Verità Nascoste
Voto:
I don't know this album, but personally, I have never been crazy about Le Orme, except for "Uomo di pezza"; in fact, I find them to be quite unconvincing as prog artists.
The Byrds Mr. Tambourine Man
Voto:
One of the cornerstones of folk rock. Masterpiece.
Red Hot Chili Peppers The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
Voto:
One of the less convincing albums by the Red Hot, even though there are a few more than decent tracks ("Behind The Sun"), but, you know, they don't really blow me away.
Pitura Freska Duri I Banchi
Voto:
Ostregheta, I really like these old ones.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon
Voto:
We are at the tenth review, just like with "The Piper", frankly, enough is enough. Let's stop these triply ridiculous reviews, especially when they are silly rhymes that target a masterpiece like the "Divina Commedia", which, to be fair, is 2 billion times better than "Dark Side".
Alan Parsons The Time Machine
Voto:
Who will be right between Iside and Floydman? The epic duel has just begun.
Jethro Tull Roots To Branches
Voto:
These Jethro Tull albums from the nineties, which I've never heard, are starting to pique my curiosity (to quote the wrecking crew). I've been stuck twenty years in the past, and after "A" (horrible), I never wanted to pick them up again. Perhaps, though, I'm beginning to change my mind. We'll see. Anyway, great review.
