Christopher Nolan Inception

Wonderful movie, just a shame about Di Caprio's pathetic face. I found the setting to be really strange and dreamlike, like a magazine spread on interior design.
Madonna American Life

This album certainly isn't a 5. Nice, introspective but, in many ways, fragile and bare. In fact, Madonna and Mirwais had to completely change the arrangements at the last minute because Warner wasn't pleased with the extensive use of synthesizers and vocoder that had made the original version of the album very robotic. This change of direction understandably lowered the quality of the work. "Die Another Day," in my opinion one of Madonna's most innovative and disorienting tracks, should give an idea of how, alas, American Life was meant to sound.
X-Japan Blue Blood

Splendid album. I love X Japan and it’s a shame they are not well known outside of Japan, because they were truly exquisite musicians. Songs like "rose of pain" foreshadow, among other things, the blossoming of gothic and symphonic metal in Europe years later, while being free of self-indulgent baroqueisms.

The photo, as indicated on the back of the packaging, dates back to 1980. Moreover, the fonts used for the title and the band name are typical of those years, especially the red flourish.

Oops, I have the bad habit of writing double meanings and realizing it afterward. I still think that the title "Night Work," combined with the cover, could also be interpreted in that sense.
Joanna Newsom Ys

Medieval minstrel? His melodies are so asymmetrical that they have nothing to do with medieval ballads.
Gian Lorenzo Bernini Sepolcro di Urbano VIII

I gave 4 because I do not fully agree with the content of the work, especially in a literal sense.^^

Christina Aguilera Bionic
Voto:
Listened to out of curiosity. It has some good insights, but unfortunately it gets lost in the usual "ghetto aesthetic" with a sprinkle of glamour aimed at spoiled teenagers. I also don’t understand why the ballads are placed in a block right in the middle of the album, creating a stark contrast with the bionic atmospheres throughout. It gives the impression of feeling Lady Gaga's breath on your neck. And indeed, the latter has shown up like a breath of fresh air in the American pop landscape, which is now weighed down by the usual mix of R&B. Too bad Christina lacks the irony, fun, and creativity of Lady Gaga, a true pop star like no other seen in years.

One really can't take it anymore with singers who rely entirely on sensuality (aka whoredom). It's one thing for Lady Gaga, who knows she's not conventionally attractive and plays everything with irony. Christina, with the voice she has, should decide to make the leap, meaning she needs to shed her ghetto-inspired r&b background that aims for a "black" persona and move towards something much more refined. She partially succeeded with the second album of "Back to Basics," but it wasn't enough. Moreover, the bionic diva is a character that's been overly visited in the past and is rather sterile (see Janet Jackson in "Discipline").
