Great review...the book is very...actually, extremely beautiful (but I still prefer the debut...Carrie...if I have time, I'll write a review for it)...maybe splitting it into two parts would have made it more enjoyable...but it’s fine as it is...plus, there’s a noteworthy ending here (usually King sterilizes them a bit too much and they disappoint)...I swear the book scared me more than the movie...which is ridiculous...I imagined the clown could pop out from some newspaper or balloon at any moment... :)

Lovecraft on the right???? I have quite a few doubts about that... I left fantasy behind a while ago... even though I read the last one in the Eragon saga... but I wanted to finish it... even if I'm not sure it's really over... as for the rest, I know people my age who only read fantasy... all the same... school... home... magic... rhapsody... and strictly church... and they think they're ahead of everyone... I consider myself a bit of a loser =)... but they are just ridiculous...

@rebelde...I agree with you...I don't declare myself an atheist, in fact...just a non-believer...it's different...I don't want to believe because religion, in my opinion, enslaves a person...especially Christianity...I wish to be free in my mind...to commit all the sins I want :) and to be able to view everything from my own perspective...

Yes... and Marx said that religion is the opium of the people... I believe that few have expressed such a truth so well...

@eibhi...when I mentioned Moccia's series, I meant all his books...and I’m ashamed to say it...but I’ve read a bit of TMSC too, in a general way...so I can criticize it...I still believe that a person’s literary tastes only evolve if they read something truly stimulating...which I don’t think these kinds of books are...I mean...I asked many of my friends what they find so beautiful in Moccia's books...and the concept was more or less this...it makes me dream...it’s the only thing I can read...it’s the life I would like...you understand that after hearing things like that, one doesn’t believe they can search for something else...maybe with Twilight it’s different...it seems to have vaguely gothic atmospheres like Dracula...but I think those who read Moccia will die from wanking... :)

For a while now, I've decided not to be a believer anymore... in my opinion, it's all a gigantic mental wank... that turns into paranoia and transforms into bigotry... by constantly tormenting yourself with questions without an answer (right or wrong)... I also find Christianity to be a pretty closed-off religion... there’s only the word of God... nothing else... let’s add that I find fewer and fewer open-minded Christians willing to discuss... this religion has become a prison... I don’t know if it’s just in my area... but priests are perhaps more bigoted and ignorant than a lot of people... I don’t know... I’ve shot my series of nonsense :)... now go in peace... amen...

@eibhi... I think the Moccia series is purely adolescent... and I don’t believe that if you read that as a girl, you'll appreciate other things as an adult... I have a feeling we’ll find the Harmony novels in full bloom once the Moccia fans grow up :)... I also add that in my opinion, it’s the school that doesn’t encourage serious reading... I mean... what’s the point of studying literature? Students see it as something for nerds... so the boys give up and end up, as we know (at least the majority)... girls, on the other hand, dive into these books out of spite... you can lay the foundations about great authors... but the rest, from my perspective, you have to discover on your own... for example, my Italian teacher made me turn away from Leopardi... I reread some of his poems a little while ago and I must say I don’t dislike them... but the same goes for other authors... I don’t know... I’m not sure if you understand what I meant...

I agree with 47... and anyway, it's not that pre-teen and teen books have to be crap... for example, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a book for young people... or Oliver Twist...

I'm on the lookout for this... I'm also fascinated by Eastern religions... I've even read some things... I find them to be cults with more "relaxed" thoughts... instead of saying "God said it and that's that," they encourage dialogue... I mean... they push you to think... they open your mind...
