I won’t listen to him, the single was enough for me. Anyway, I think they were a good band up until Amen, even though, when I think about it, there has always been this super annoying radical-chic vibe, even if it’s a really awful term, underneath. Or maybe it’s just Bianconi’s voice, not even so much the lyrics, that conveys it.

I like the review too, but I’m a bit disagreeing about the album itself; I mean, it’s true that the imprint is definitely that of Loveless, but it seems very different to me in the songs, very slow. To put it briefly: no more tracks like When you sleep, Only shallow, or Come in alone, for example. And not even like Sometimes. However, since I downloaded it, I've listened to it about 20 times and it intrigues me more and more.

I'll maybe read the review later, but this is one hell of a disco, not to mention the only one I've heard, alongside Deep Space, by Atkins.
Bachi da pietra Quintale

Happy to see I'm not the only one who thought of the national Lucianone and Neffa; at some point, I even think of the Negrita and other respectable figures in the Italian scene. A pretty shitty record from almost every perspective for me, comparing it to the previous ones or not.

I don’t know, in this case I wonder what distinguishes an album from an EP. For me, this is the second album by the Sufi and on first listens it seems really cool, but I need to dive deeper into it.
Method Man Tical
Voto:
I only like the first one from Tical; after that, it’s just boredom (and it's strange because it's also a relatively short album). Ironman, Liquid Swords, and 36 Chambers the dirty version are much better. But maybe there's something better from the Wu "solo" that I haven't listened to yet.

Another recent Italian rap album that has pleased practically everyone, and while I recognize its value, it hasn't resonated with me.
Adolescents The Fastest Kid Alive

Seen live this summer, great concert. Tony Cadena is, well... total. When they performed Kids of the Black Hole, but especially all the tracks from the first album (done almost entirely), even though there were about 50 of us, it felt like being at an amazing festival, pure delirium. I've listened to some of the new records, but I don't find anything special.
Gigi Simeoni Stria
Voto:
Wow, I never would have thought I’d find one of these things reviewed on Debaser :-) Anyway, "genius" seems a bit of an understatement, let’s just say it has an ending you don’t expect and the plot is really well structured. Unfortunately, Stria also suffers from the ā€œgratuitous hallucinationā€ syndrome, like much of today’s cinema and many Bonelli comics, which is this tendency to forcibly insert horror-like scenes especially when they really don’t have much to do with the story, if anything at all. I don’t know, for me the only "genius" at Bonelli has been Tizianone (no kidding) and maybe Manfredi, the one from Magico Vento.
Darren Aronofsky The Wrestler
Voto:
Here, nes has said everything I think about Darren... I should rewatch Pi Greco, but it seemed like a great movie to me. Requiem for a Dream is enjoyable to watch, but attributing to it the depth that many do seems out of place; it feels like a film for types similar to ravers, similar to junkies, similar to everyone who spends the week between school and Facebook and then on Saturday drinks the magic water. Black Swan is more or less the same, just with less enjoyment and more exaggeration of "trip" scenes. This one, though, despite being somewhat predictable, I liked a lot.
