I would have liked to come to see Porcupine Tree, I'm not crazy about The Incident, but I really find the earlier albums beautiful, especially Signify. I like Anathema, but I don’t think they’re exactly a "live music" band, if you know what I mean :D

My God! Once by pure chance I played some songs from this album after listening to Song for the Deaf and if I liked it a bit before, now I really can't listen to it anymore and Requiem is even worse... It may be an ancient discussion for debaser, but really, when I read phrases like "Verdena represented an anomaly in the agonizing Italian rock scene," it makes me profoundly sad... Then this little disc is also nice to listen to, just as the first one and Requiem (I only put a big stone a little higher), but nothing more.

I saw it on a friend's PC screen, it's a movie that is definitely fantastic in its "genre," it doesn't have cultural depth and certainly doesn't pretend to have it. Of course, if I had seen it in the cinema, I would have enjoyed the special effects much more, but frankly, spending money on these things doesn't seem worth it :-)

@skele: you picked the one episode where I actually like Gillan, but for the other tracks, not at all. It's not his fault; I just find that his tone doesn't really fit with this record's dirty sound. I'm not saying Ozzy or Dio are better, and I can't even explain who I think should have been there in his place... You like it, I find it annoying, it's the only flaw of this album that I otherwise think is exceptional. It’s a matter of taste. Period.

Well, this album is one of my favorites by Sabbath, very raw, and for this reason I think Gillan, despite being a great singer, really doesn't fit in here at all. Fantastic cover :)

@Greg, come on, let's meet up sometime, we’re all from the area! Anyway, I’ve seen the theater four times and the only time the sound was right was during the second concert at Hiroshima; it wasn't perfect, but at least you could clearly distinguish all the sounds. With Dell'impero delle tenebre, even if the sound wasn’t great, it was still fine because the songs had a huge impact anyway. The new tracks (especially Majakovskij, Padre Nostro, and E' Colpa Mia) have melodic characteristics that a terrible acoustic really penalizes, and a lot too. They should really sort this out once and for all.

Indeed, the audience at the theater leaves me increasingly puzzled. The first time I saw them, we were still at Nuvolari in Cuneo, a free concert, by the way (usually there you pay only for the "big names"), and in front of the stage, there weren't many of us, mostly people in their twenties or at most my age, all with "concert faces." Now, however, you arrive there and you find kids in keffiyehs & Guevara shirts, hair that must have taken them three-quarters of an hour in front of the mirror to achieve that look, even emo bangs... Bah, okay, expand the message to as many people as possible; I still remain perplexed.
