I also prefer Thriller to Bad, but that doesn’t make Bad a bad album, quite the opposite!!! Anyway, talking about the two girls and their young age: I really don’t think the intention of t.A.T.u. was to be good... in my opinion, they probably never even thought about it! So if the goal is just to sell and make tons of money, why wait until you're 30? By then, you're too old to enjoy the villas and mega parties!
Madonna Something To Remember
Voto:
this (beautiful) collection of (beautiful) ballads is nothing but a marketing move designed to make Eva Perón's interpretation in Alan Parker's musical credible... going from unrepentant to a popular saint would have been too drastic for the audience. in Madonna's commercial logic, it's an understandable record, and in fact, it achieved the desired effect; but from an artistic standpoint, it is a decidedly insignificant step in her career. making an entire album of new tracks in the elegant lady genre would have been truly noteworthy.

music + Russia = Borodin, Musorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov... let's leave it at that! I agree with the vote on the album, but the review is definitely too pretentious and brings up examples that are completely out of place... I don’t understand why a twenty-two-year-old can’t be a musical phenomenon; you mentioned the examples yourself (and there are still dozens more)... Madonna isn’t exactly Callas, is she? What does that even mean? It's like comparing lasagna to meringue! You can’t put two completely different things together and claim one is better! Then you wrapped it up with that gem about Michael Jackson... putting aside the judgment on one of the most important albums of '80s pop, I still can't understand what the hell it has to do with anything! Damn, this album makes you long for the Eiffel Tower! And that says it all...
Siouxsie And The Banshees Tinderbox

"Cities in Dust" is a masterpiece. Siouxsie's voice is devastating. This band is brilliant...
Cyndi Lauper Sisters Of Avalon
Voto:
(I have all of Cindy's albums in question... even the ones that came out after this, but the fact that she still makes records doesn’t mean she isn’t a shooting star! I mean: Ivan Cattaneo is still singing too!) --- That said: dear OPALTIDE, have you heard Tricky's song where he sings your Baniamina? "Five Days," from the album "Blowback." I highly recommend it :-)

"They're no longer the endless crowds of the good old days"... exactly... that's what I meant! I didn't speak poorly of the album, quite the opposite... but if it has become something for just a few, there's a reason, and that is that it doesn't appeal to everyone anymore... it still does to me, so long live Cyndi!
Ornella Vanoni La Voglia, La Pazzia, L'Incoscienza, L'Allegria

Vanoni's voice is comparable to the greats of world jazz...

Indeed, Fabbiu is right... for heaven's sake, the album is beautiful, but this attempt to step one level above pop hasn't done much good for Cyndi... poor thing hasn't managed to get back up from the abyss of meteors!
