Tiziano Ferro Nessuno è solo
Voto:
Mazing, don’t take it personally. Unhappy and emotionally frustrated people, when they come across someone who is happy and (if I may say) a little naïve, can’t wait to beat them down to unload their own nerves... Did something go wrong at the office? Does your boss hate you and your colleagues are bullying you? No problem, the evening at Debaser offers you a guy who loves Tiziano Ferro for you to slice apart! Guys, it’s absolutely correct to express your dissent against a poorly written review (in fact) and an artist who is (in fact) not very appreciated, but I really don’t understand why one would resort to shouting curses and really heavy insults... Mazinga, these are the people who love sports and then go to watch the games with a bomb tucked under their jacket, just don’t care! You know what makes me feel incredibly superior? The fact that I already know they will start saying things to me now... Merry Christmas everyone!

But you know... it’s not about a decrease in passion; it’s more like a different way of experiencing passion... Tori is now a mature woman, a mother... something has to change, it's physiological! Anyway, I know that she isn't perfect either... definitely brilliant, important, of course... but just knowing Kate Bush makes it clear that Tori hasn't reinvented much... she's created a very strong personality, but starting from someone else's personality!

Perfection does not exist, I agree. It cannot exist because there is no one capable of judging in a truly impartial way. To me, Tori Amos is perfect; to someone else, it’s Whitney Houston; for another, it’s Ronnie James Dio... surely, Cristiano Malgioglio is not perfect for anyone ;-)

cptgaio... by self-referential I mean too reliant on your personal experience. of course, that’s just my opinion, but I found it a bit unnecessary to mention how much time each individual CD took you... "not very attentive" refers to the construction of sentences, not always perfect. anyway, don’t take it personally, it’s not a personal attack, it’s just that it seems to me that lately only reviews of artists deemed worthy end up in the recommendations... while it’s the quality of the review that should be emphasized.

a useless box obviously, but from a magnificent artist. it’s not true that scarlet's walk and the beekeeper are disappointing albums; they are part of an evolution to be understood. they require much more time than the previous ones to be assimilated, because they don't contain the eccentric acrobatics of the early days. but in the end, the very fact that tori no longer seeks to attract attention with the greatest possible dose of originality is a sign of an artist who is now mature and aware of her uniqueness. as for the review, I don't understand how it can be among the best... it doesn’t seem great to me... lacking attention and too self-referential.
Danny Elfman Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas OMPS
Voto:
For those who might have missed it: a new version of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas is coming out in 2007... same story, but animated in 3D instead of slow motion. Same soundtrack, but reinterpreted in a rock style by many famous bands. I happened to hear the new version of 'Halloween' by Reverend Manson... needless to say, it was better before, but it could be an interesting project overall.
Giacomo Puccini Turandot

where Turandot reigns, where Turandot reigns... how cool, with all those decapitated heads it can be considered a pulp opera... too bad for the pompous and overly sentimental ending added by Alfano, at this point the very recent ending by Berio is much better, much more in line with the rest of the opera!

But who the hell is Mafi? Revelation? And what exactly has he revealed?
