Live, she is one of the most off-key hens I’ve ever heard... almost worse than Amy Lee!

I wanted to write 'as for the h' obviously... this is a slip!

@muffinman: singing a Hendrix song is a big deal, indeed, but I think it comes across in this album that it’s a tribute, in no way disrespectful. @azzo: I don't understand how you can give a 1 to an album you've only heard a few seconds of. It may not be to your taste, like everything else, but you have to acknowledge the technique and professionalism behind it. After all, you mention Bobby McFerrin and Telesforo: do those seem like minor comparisons to you? @kosmogabri: you made a more respectful argument, clarifying that these are your tastes. Although I still don’t understand what’s wrong with McFerrin! As for the 'H' in t(h)om waits, gulp! I was quite sure... anyway, his name is Thomas Alan Waits, so let’s say the 'H' isn’t that big of a deal ;-)

Ah! Muffinman, it seems to me that there are enough examples of glorious bands that at the beginning had star attitudes to fill books, and they certainly weren’t bands without substance or for twelve-year-olds...

I absolutely don’t believe that an album with more songs is worth more; I think the price of CDs should be halved. So it seems very "respectful" towards the audience if a band that has many songs in the drawer publishes them all instead of keeping them for new albums. And not scattering them as b-sides of singles or as bonuses for reissues to sell more! That said, when it comes to whether their songs are crap or not, our opinions are obviously different, which is one more reason not to get stuck in certain discussions! Peace.

@JakeChambers: I heard about Marc Beacco, he actually only uses his voice too... but if I remember correctly, the genre is quite different from this, and, if I recall rightly, Beacco doesn't do everything by himself. Anyway, interesting! @saputello: you can find the album on the website of the distributing company, BTF.

Dear 47, I assure you that the lack of tools is absolutely not felt... we're light years away from black by chance! The final effect, especially on the lows, is really interesting... thanks to everyone for the comments (and the votes)!

No! I thought I conveyed the idea well... but I failed! Come on... if I said it's enjoyable, it's because it is, I swear! Don't imagine it like the toughest passages of 'medulla'! Anyway, if you want to get a sense of the album, visit Boris's website and their MySpace page... I'm not able to upload samples (how embarrassing...)

I agree with the reviewer... really a beautiful album. It’s true that it’s nothing new, but when faced with beautiful songs ('back to black', 'you know I'm no good'), one must be objective, despite a constructed persona! More than the voice, which is actually rather mediocre, I greatly appreciated the arrangements on this album, similar to those on 'back to basics' by Christina Aguilera. It’s clearly nothing but a trend, but there are professionals behind it, and you can feel it!

I would like to know who among all those who give 1 to Le Vibrazioni claims to be able to make better music... if the band had remained unknown, they would probably be praised for their qualities! In my opinion, Le Vibrazioni are not bad at all; they have written some nice songs, their albums contain a lot of tracks (at least you don't spend 20 euros for 9 songs), and they seem quite honest in pursuing the genre they love. Lately, it seems like they are recycling a bit, but that could just be an impression... the only unpleasant thing is the arrogance with which they perform on stage, but even Mick Jagger was obnoxious in his early days... I mean: a bit of star attitude is necessary to convince people that you're a star, sometimes...
