Danny Cohen Museum of Dannys

I haven't heard it yet, but I definitely will. I have a bit of an unhealthy passion for this singer-songwriter, for his story, his voice. I really liked Dannyland a lot.

Following the mention of Kataklisma in another review, I got this CD as well... thankfully! I listened to it over the weekend, and this musical encounter surprised me. Great album!

I read this review the other day, but I wanted to read it again after listening to the album that I got during this time. I've only listened to it a couple of times, but that's enough for me to say that I found it splendid. Thank you for this valuable recommendation.

thanks to gabri for the beautiful memory (I also had a déjà-vu on musicmaker.org great site!), to saputello for remembering bonfanti, he deserves it, thanks to dave hoping he likes the record and to sombraluz hoping he doesn't want the money for the cd back :) to tinibanks who remembers the indispensable samples and to alexander who rightly brings SRV to mind in this context. Haloa :)
Luca Flores For Those I Never Knew

The first time I heard this record, I felt something that's hard to describe. The notes of "for these i never knew" speak volumes, so much so that it's impossible to reconstruct their meaning. A painful yet wonderful record.

I am an Aquarian poet, so normally inconsistent and fickle (even though I don’t really believe in these things). Sometimes I write a lot, sometimes a little, sometimes nothing at all; similarly, sometimes I read a lot, sometimes a little, sometimes nothing, but I certainly don’t deny myself Pessoa, and I’ve always gotten along well with Aries. The Madredeus are good, but personally I suffered from the fact that Rodrigo Leão left the group, which has since changed its sound. Let’s say I feel saudade for the early Madredeus. As for the Terje Nordgarden concert, let’s just say it’s a fond memory, a lovely evening with friends; I’m glad you enjoyed the recap. Bye :)

A bit niche but not too much, one could say. I imagined it was not well known, but I didn’t think the blues could attract so little attention; let’s hope it’s just due to the review ;)) Anyway, you’re right, Alexander, he was a promise of the blues, a promise that kind of got lost along the way, which is why I was doubtful about this work. Maybe it was good for him to disappear for a while, to return now to the roots of the blues. In fact, listening to it closely—on an insistent friend's suggestion—I must say I liked it; it cleared up my doubts, in short. On the other hand, I must admit that much of the enjoyment comes from the names present on the album, including the rhythm section of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble. To understand what I mean, there’s only one way: you have to listen to something. That's why in the link provided in the review, there's a track ("The Thrill Is Gone") streaming, one of the most beautiful, with BB King on vocals and guitar; if you pass by—Orwell Donjunio and Alexander—give it a listen. Ah... and if you happen to get the CD, keep in mind that the booklet inside is crafted like a travel diary, really interesting. Bye and thanks :)
