I'm glad you liked it, ohjesus. It's really a great album. After some time, I still listen to it periodically. Since the path you've taken seems to please you, if you have the chance, try listening to some solo work by Bireli Lagrene through connection. He's one of the best guitarists I’ve ever heard. “Inferno” and “Standards” are very beautiful. You might find it a bit more challenging, but the collection of the two albums that pay homage to Django Reinhardt (“Routes to Django/Birelli Swings 1981”) is also very nice, recorded when he was almost a child. Unfortunately, this last one seems more difficult to find. The last gem is “Stuttgart Aria” alongside Pastorius. Best regards.

Make it clear what you think about this album, and even if I agree with you, I liked the review.

I read somewhere a review of that album, and it spoke very highly of R. Adams (once again). If the opportunity arises (borrowing or other means that don't require cash or credit cards), I'll give it a listen and we'll see. It's nice to change one's mind. John "Cougar" Mellencamp, you say? I remember him and I liked him quite a bit, even if just for a short time. Now he's not "Cougar" anymore, am I wrong? Best regards

Even if you probably haven't noticed, we are in complete agreement; you say the same things I say ("it's a different album, less brilliant" "a sadness that leaves glimpses of life") with the difference that this record has left you with something more than it has for me. At the risk of being repetitive, it's just a matter of different feelings (de gustibus). I don't think your feelings are worth less than mine and vice versa. Best regards.

I keep reading praise for Ryan Adams everywhere, and I, who have always detested him, feel a bit guilty (not very much, to be honest). This CD was lent to me some time ago, but I couldn't listen to it without constantly hitting the fast forward button. He may be talented, but it doesn't resonate with me. Why? I don't know. Anyway, as far as my judgment goes, the review is flawless. Regards.
