Great job, Jeremy. The review intrigues me. I started reading on Debaser precisely thanks to reviews like this, which introduce me to music that is far from what I usually know. You could say I have a hunger for information. On the other hand, including too much in the review might weigh it down, making it difficult to get to the end. But some details are essential for me (Record label and year of release), otherwise at least a link for more info. Best regards.

Your review yesterday confused me a bit. I didn't understand who Gaetano Liguori is, nor when he conceived this album. Despite the positive rating, I wondered, "Did he like it or not?" Then I couldn't grasp the expression "jazz nazional popolare" and I didn't find the onomatopoeia of “Leggermente Fuori Fuoco.” In short, after each reading of the review, it felt like I had taken a trip through a washing machine's spin cycle. Last night, before bedtime, I read a snippet about this album in Rumore and discovered that it’s from the "il manifesto" label (yay! 8 €), that Liguori was an important figure in the Italian free jazz scene, and that the album's title refers to figures not only political but also musical (Cecil Taylor but also Bela Bartok!). This additional information made me think that the album is really interesting. Definitely worth a listen. In light of the few bits of information gathered, rereading it today, the review seemed different. More beautiful. Clearer. Anyway, I will get this album, just as I got Pork Soda by Primus. By the way, thank you. Bye.

I'm glad, Josi. If you get the chance to listen to "Been Here and Gone" by Thalia Zedek, let me know if you see any affinities with Darby, at least in the overall atmosphere of the album. I read somewhere that it has elements that bring it closer to Nick Drake, but that statement seemed like heresy to me :) . I also know that Darby recently toured Italy (I think between November and December), but live it seems she doesn't leave a lasting impression. Bye.

Always. It doesn't matter whether the minister is in town or not, because the police are stationed at both his residence and his office at all times: day and night. This deployment of forces seems a bit excessive to many, although no one can say for certain that it is entirely unjustified. However, seeing such attention in the "dangerous" Sassari (even when the minister is not present) and remembering Marco Biagi cycling through the streets of Bologna makes one reflect.
