Hi Rohan, I want to reiterate the thanks I had written to Livid :) I've seen some of your comments around, so for a newcomer, a warm welcome is a must. Cheers!

I'm still on the lookout for the "Girls in Hawaii" CD; I'll add this one to the list and we'll see. Always interesting choices, Francesco.

I have the impression that I will like it, I need to listen to it.
Fairport Convention Full House

I've been thinking about it for an hour, but I really don't remember this CD at all; I'm not sure, but maybe I've never listened to it. If I had reviewed Pentangle, I would have been more confident in my memories :) I'm less knowledgeable about Fairport. Welcome.

The cover is beautiful, really intriguing. It reminds me of certain sci-fi films from the 50s/60s or some very old covers of the "Fantastic Four." In the review, I think it would be a good idea to use quotes for the song titles and always include a link for more info (their website isn’t too bad link rotto A few lines were skipped, maybe because you forgot some spaces after the punctuation, but it's your first review, so welcome to "pignolandia" ;) Penny. Jim White Drill A Hole In That Substrate And Tell Me What You See

Hey Frantz, I'm glad you liked Jim White. As for Stern... mmm, you know I like him, but I wasn't entirely convinced. However, after some time, I still find myself listening to "Avenue B" every now and then; I don't know why, but that track never gets old for me. The Madredeus, on the other hand, have disappointed me lately. "O Paraiso" just wasn't up to par with their other albums, and I felt the absence of the cellist (whose name I can't remember, but I must have a solo album of his somewhere). A sound lost in favor of the keyboards, but it just wasn't the same anymore. Where was the beauty of Existir and the vitality of Ainda? Later, I saw them in concert in Prato, and it was a very disappointing evening. So I really didn’t want to listen to their latest CD. From your words, I must assume I was wrong, so I'll give it a try. Bye.

This CD had been in my purchase database for a long time, and I finally managed to get it. I've listened to it quite a bit over the past month, and I can say that I like it; I find it well-produced and it flows smoothly, but as for pugliamix, we'll see if it stands the test of time. And as usual, reading reviews after listening always has a different flavor. Bye Bye

I should give you one star because you didn’t tell me a thing about Joe Henry, leaving my curiosity intact, but I’m giving you five because you made me smile :)

I also loved Alabama Song a lot, but more for Kurt Weill than for The Doors. I didn't know that Manzarek had the nerve to perform again using the name "The Doors," maybe I would have preferred not to know. Perhaps I would have never gone to see them play.
