Santana Caravanserai

I liked Nick instead :) But a nod to the cover? Beautiful. Ahhh the vinyl. I listened to Santana when I was twelve or thirteen, I had bought a "greatest hits" with an awful cover and then a couple of famous albums including this one. The sound of his guitar was captivating. Of course, the memory of the guitarist is now (for me) a bit overshadowed by recent hits like "corazon espinado," true anthems. I don't mean to say that Supernatural was a terrible album, it was commercial but well-crafted, still, I much preferred these albums. And then a track from the Supernatural album was shamelessly copied from Brahms' third symphony, "love of my life," if I remember correctly. Well, I veered off course, I’ll stop. Bye bye. Damn, but do I have to believe the definition you give of Santana or ... see APC :)

Guys, I was surprised to find so little attention for this album! Is it possible that no one has anything to say? Is it possible that no one knows it beyond the few who have written about it? Is it possible that no one is curious? Possible? Incredible. And I thought it was well-known. This is a splendid, unforgettable album. L I S T E N T O I T! Please ...

Welcome benzo24!! What a great debut, an amazing album on which you've said everything with an equally wonderful review, and I love the metaphor of colors. J. Arthur deserves more attention in my opinion, right nick? I know you'll be around here :))

If you like Kenny Barron, then you have to listen to "Night and the City" and then in trio "Live at Bradley's," while "Images" from 2004 didn't completely convince me. Hey chainsaw, sorry for the intrusive jazz digression :)

You see, you have your reasons for defending explicit communication, but what I wanted to say is that implicit (or symbolic) communication also has meaning. Perhaps not everyone has the tools to perceive it, but it has the capacity to create a sometimes fertile environment that develops new positions (even explicit, not symbolic) on the raised topic. If you pay attention, it has happened even on this page. Gabri's reading opened a discussion, and many found themselves in it. As if a transparent veil had been lifted. Going back to Pasolini, perhaps you didn't directly understand that phrase, but many people were able to understand it by listening to the reading from those who grasped it. A side note: the example of Pasolini needs to be contextualized. In very difficult years for Italian democracy, the stance taken by an intellectual like him sparked a debate on the raised issues. This debate dragged on for years. Today, its content can be said to be outdated from many perspectives and should be read in a historical context. Hi tattaresu :)

:-))) The "Livorno regret" was obviously Piero Ciampi. The title of the song is "Amore, io (la solitudine)."

Maybe I'm more interested in the cover than the music, you know why it refers to Marlon Brando?
