Giovanni Allevi No Concept

The fact is that we can spend entire days endlessly repeating the same concept without getting anywhere: for me, it’s trivial, for you, it’s not. I found it boring to listen to, not a surprise, not an unforgettable moment, not a jolt, just the feeling of pretty patterns in worn-out forms, heard too many times, too many. You evidently draw different evaluations for reasons I don’t know, so I just take note of it. Therefore, in light of all this, I don’t know what else to say, and consequently, the amen applies to me. If you and Giovanni want to keep discussing it, far be it from me to put a stop to this conversation, to which I have no further contributions to give. That’s all. Bye.

Well, if you only read the rating... anyway, I'm glad to return to this page because it managed to piss off both the Beatles fans and their most ardent detractors. All things considered, it's fair to say it wasn't easy :)

I have a good memory of "Beekeeper," although I must admit it’s not his most successful work, while "American Doll Posse" passed me by, so I’ll have to catch up. I definitely wouldn’t have missed one of his concerts, well described here.

Kenny Dorham Quiet Kenny

Not knowing the album, for me it's a nice jazz recommendation (which are often lacking). Maybe you could have said a little more, but I feel like rewarding it by raising your average because it's very interesting, especially to learn about this version of "Mack the knife." Thx

Exactly, peterwanz banal, you read that right, that’s the adjective that was triggered by my listening. All in all, I align with some (not all) of the evaluations expressed by Giovanni. Cuties, indeed. Don't you agree? It happens. Patience and amen.

Sometimes the latest comments page is essential for getting back to reading reviews like these. I have listened to traditional Jewish music for a long time, always finding it fascinating, especially in the contrast between enthusiasm and melancholy. I will look for this record, thank you.
