Feist Let It Die

The situation you described happens to me often (not at Fnac unfortunately), sometimes you discover certain records just by chance, listening to a snippet on the radio or in a CD store. In this case, however, Feist's raspy yet clear voice was a lightning bolt for me, but only after a few listens. A nice little record all in all. Bye :)

Last night at the concert... a bit disappointing, unfortunately I don't like his voice at all. But they do play well, it’s true, they manage to fill the sounds nicely (damn... good job Marco Greco), but nothing that screams genius and the lyrics are indeed a bit weak. Little appeal even in the breaks between songs, just think that the most "angry" thing he said was that because of Sirchia they couldn't smoke in the venue... In short, it felt like the concert of a "veteran"... Sadness.
Wovenhand Consider The Birds

Turbulent waters beneath fragile bridges... this is how I've seen this album grow with each listen. I find myself very much in your beautiful description, Hum: "immense, damned unsettling, apocalyptic." It's an album that requires time, willingness, and attention. It wouldn't hurt to also take a moment to focus on the lyrics. You can find them here Thank You For Clapping. Lyrics - Woven Hand: Consider The Birds (watch out for the spaces). Hi Hum :)

But that album is one of the ones I liked the most (although to be honest I don't remember any bad albums from that shipment) :))

Ideal album on this snowy day. I like the interpretative approach that this singer-songwriter uses in these songs; at times, it’s on the edge between "singing" and "reciting," while at other moments it’s truly - I dare say - "theatrical." A distinctive voice nonetheless. The observation about some rich yet not annoying arrangements is also true. Yes, a good album. Thanks to you and to those who made me listen to it ;)))

Compared to the fog, at least I can boast about having an idea of what I missed.

apparent calm, hypnotic passages, distorted voices (7 hands!!)... indeed, there's a bit of everything in this album that is somewhat deceptive. It starts with rock atmospheres, then seems to be transported elsewhere (slide and violins), until electronic samples arrive in a track that sounds like it's played by Portishead and sung by Thom Yorke... sometimes it's disorienting, much like dreams are. They remember everything and nothing: very true. Overall, it's beautiful, and thank you for the recommendation :))) Bye

@ jean - In Paris? Maybe... but I have no hopes for my French, I'll read Molière in the coming months and we'll see what happens :) The Angel Quartet is another very interesting project by Fresu, especially with the presence of Nguyen Le, an incredible guitarist (live, even better...). It's a different musical project due to its choices, just like the PAF trio. There are also other equally notable endeavors, like Porgy and Bess in orchestral version with a solo trumpet that I mentioned in a previous post. I believe that all of Fresu's musical projects have their own structure, peculiarities, and characteristics that make them distinctly different from one another. To be honest, I can't tell you my preference, also because I enjoy oscillating between them depending on the moment. @ josi - mmmm so you liked Bollani? Good, good, I'm glad :)) @ zion - for not being a great listener, you have quite a wide range of choices, but are you sure you’re only 19? :) @ kuper and benzo - I hope you enjoy the trip. Bye Bye :)
