Michel Petrucciani Trio In Tokyo

A splendid album released at the time of its publication, I mentioned it a few years ago in a review. Odradek is a must-have album; you won't regret purchasing it.

sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiries, but I prefer the sea to the computer at the moment (that's why I've "vanished," bjorky :))), I just wanted to remind any curious souls that on myspace (you can find the link in the interview, which is a corollary to this review) it's possible to listen to the trio's music (which zanna has done, well done). I hope that listening to this work, carefully curated as odradek rightly says, will spark your interest... I'll stop here, I won't go on, it's hot, I need to go out... thanks again to everyone, bye :)

Honor and merit to the "Punta Giara" association for organizing this exhibition that I never manage to see because for me Sant'Anna Arresi is a bit out of the way... such a shame. Aloe

I really liked this album, clean sounds, prominent guitars, attention to melody, changes in rhythm. It was one of my summer albums; sure, it may not be their best work, but I don't care because it kept me great company.

Well, I didn't mind the review, and it sparked a nice discussion filled with interesting names and album titles… for what it’s worth, I'll add a couple myself: “Tenor Madness” by Sonny Rollins (dueling with Coltrane), “Lady in Satin” by Billie Holiday, and maybe an album by Monk like “Thelonious Monk Trio.” Why these? Because many have already been mentioned, because they are great albums, and because I have a fondness for them. Haloa

The best album by Bregović for me is "Ederlezi" yes, I agree. As for this one, I've only "tasted" it, but the review encourages me to listen to it more closely.
