Thanks folks. Now I don't remember if the label is Maverick, I'll check later, but you were right to remind me that this musician was sponsored by Madonna. As for the pronunciation of the name... who knows? I'm not even sure how it's spelled ;)))
Brad Mehldau Live In Tokyo
Voto:
"There are beautiful things and that's it," how I love this phrase, how I love finding it here, for an artist I unconditionally adore. Yes, finally Mehldau! And I'm glad you wrote this review. He is truly a great pianist, eclectic even in his choices. And this is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful albums of 2004. It’s something extraordinary to pair standards with songs like "Paranoid Android" and "River Man." The former is literally turned upside down in this case, while the approach to Nick Drake has been more discreet. But within Mehldau reside many other classical souls, like Chopin, perhaps more present in the studio solo piano album "Elegiac Cycle." I would tell the debasers to listen to the trio album from '98 "Songs" where you can find a beautiful version of "Exit Music (For A Film)." But this live in Tokyo is truly a gem, just like the review itself :)

Rino Gaetano La Storia
Voto:
mmmmumble mumble... I acknowledge your opinion, even though I'm not very convinced by it. Perhaps things are less straightforward, but that would be a long discussion and not suitable for the context of the review. Let's think about the music of Rino Gaetano, maybe that's better. Bye :)

You've said it all in the end; I just want to add that from my point of view, "But the sky is always bluer" might not be so "politically neutral," at least not on the surface... who knows. Anyway, a review of Rino Gaetano was indeed missing; sometimes too much love can be a limitation.

Great album, well presented and contextualized, good.

I'm quite intrigued, especially by that image of a dirtier, more cursed Lucinda Williams. In fact, Lucinda sometimes goes overboard with sweetness. I've heard something by Mary, just not this album. I'll keep it in mind. Thx
