Waiting for samples and maybe the crossing.

Hey dude! I’ll tell you right away that I won’t be listening to this album because I don’t think I’ll be able to find it. At least reading the review entertained me, and the introduction really is a nice mess :)

Thank you for remembering Beppe Viola, an incredible person. If you have the chance, read some of his wonderful short stories. He had a splendid kind of irony, the kind that is essential for life. As for the album, I only know a few songs by reputation, and I absolutely agree with you: it’s a shame that it hasn’t been released on CD; the shortsightedness of some record labels is sometimes incomprehensible. So I join the cry: REISSUE THE ALBUM!

I know them thanks to you, I will definitely listen to him and maybe I'll review, but all those "places" made me think of the "premises" of a public announcement :))
Mark Knopfler Sailing to Philadelphia

Not to go against the grain, but I remember the album being a bit sticky; perhaps in Knopfler's production, it's the one I liked the least.
Stefano Bollani Les Fleurs Bleues

Yes yes, so the ashes are really those :) just think that in the show there was also a hilarious duet between Rava and Bollani on "besame mucho," with Bollani occasionally going off on a tangent, always repeating the same melody and getting Rava all riled up. It was also super funny when Bollani sang while imitating Johnny Dorelli; he could definitely be an actor :)))

Beautiful review John for one of the greatest Italian musicians of the moment. Stefano Bollani is exceptional for his technique, choices, insights, and collaborations. At the same time, he is a showman, a really friendly and approachable person. The show you saw in Gubbio, dear ingenuapupattola, most likely stems from the ashes of the theatrical musical performance "guarda che luna" dedicated to Buscaglione, which Bollani did with Rava, Pietropaoli, G. Testa, and Banda Osiris. I saw the last show of the tour, and if I think about it even today, I almost feel bad because I had so much fun that night. Then there's this stunning album. Odradek, I allow myself to suggest - in addition to the fun Smat Smat - another brilliant work: "Shades of Chet" dedicated to Chet Baker. The musicians are: Bollani, Rava, Fresu, Pietropaoli, and Gatto. Bye, bye.

A very useful insight Grasshopper, a highly recommended review.
Kronos Quartet & Asha Bhosle You've Stolen My Heart

I adore the Kronos Quartet and I was aware of the release of this album, which however didn’t intrigue me at all due to the chosen references. Your opinion somewhat reinforces the doubts I already had, but I believe I will still give it a listen. I agree with JohnOfPatmos’s judgment on the musical value of the Kronos Quartet; personally, in their vast discography, which I only know in part obviously, I have a "sick" passion for "Pieces of Africa," the soundtrack "Requiem for a Dream," "Howl USA," and the wonderful "Five Tango Sensations." Bye!
