I gave it a quick listen and set the record aside; I'll pick it up on Saturday. Despite being fleeting, I felt similar sensations, and I got the idea of a record to listen to very calmly. Bye.

It's always and only a matter of balance; glorifying and idealizing the past is a mistake, just as fixating on the present while thinking that the past is just old, isn't it? A middle ground?

It will be maximum... but I'm not so convinced about this. There is a lot of music from the past that is still modern today and much from the present that is just... current. And it’s still a mistake, in my opinion, to think that the idea of looking back must mean becoming petrified. One can also become fossilized in the (consumerist) pursuit of novelty.

I understand Copernico's desire, but albums like this one, in my opinion, need time to be absorbed, and since it has just been released, it’s not easy. After all, you yourself mention a recommendation for purchase. I am really enjoying it, but at the moment I’m coming across a lot of really interesting jazz albums, perhaps Dave Douglas's above all. However, this one is no joke.

Not all comparisons are crystal clear to me, but I enjoyed this reading Enkrist, nauseating martini aside. I was also thinking of writing something about her some time ago while listening to a collection of her songs. It's great that the void has been filled nonetheless. Then you raise a lovely topic with this sentence: "Why seek modern vibes when the past holds such precious jewels?" Indeed, sometimes the quest for novelty can lead us to forget that there is so much beautiful music from the past that is still very much alive.

I had missed this review. I just noticed it now because I saw that Tom Zé is on the cover of this month's Blow Up. From the photo, he looks like a cross between a clown and a bum, anyway, a character.

I would have loved to hear Black Mountain... really, weren't they up to par live? A myth is collapsing for me...
