Francesco Guccini Stanze di vita quotidiana

But the vote itself has no meaning, Mr. Nobody, it's just a little number, it needs to be read with a comment or a review. The rating scale from one to five is so small and at the same time susceptible to different interpretations depending on the reference we choose. A score taken in isolation from the context tells me what? Nothing. It's not the rain that matters, but how it falls. Personal impressions count, the subjective story that each piece of music has on us for me. Otherwise, we fall into categorization, into the accounting of music, which perhaps someone cares about; honestly, I don’t. Why detach ourselves when musical meanings are also internal to us? Then if someone has the presumption to give “objective” ratings, well, that’s, so to speak, their problem. Just one contrary opinion will be enough to bring them back down to earth. So I give this album five again because what it means to me cannot be measured like at the market. Cheers :)

Macallan translates into a not-so-elegant manner only the endless boredom stemming from this recycler of banalities who requires a formal invitation with registered mail to talk about music... how boring... zero open-mindedness... because he talks about me, let’s talk about the album, let’s talk about music, who gives a damn about the stars... blah... but what a bore, what a bore, what a bore... o tempora o mores!

Ah punisher, regarding your "assumptions" (oh what yawns! oh what boredom....) do you remember how Zirichiltaggia ended? ;)

But the discussion was nevertheless interesting; there was nothing wrong with this conversation, indeed, I must say that I enjoyed talking about it. As for the teasing, if the intention is based on the goal of open discussion, then all the better. You’ve said your piece, I've said mine. That’s the beauty of it. Amen and cheers.

Sorry for the typos, it's not my fault but Macallan's.

ugh what a drag punisher, please stop being such a stickler, music isn’t a balance sheet, I don't feel like debating the number of stars, let’s talk about music please, let’s talk about that wonderful artist kim kashkashian otherwise it’s just boring...

I, on the other hand, disagree. I read the review the other day, but before sharing my opinion, I wanted to listen to it again. I did so tonight after quite some time; I wanted to see if anything had changed. Instead, I still consider it a great album, and for me, the dialogue with Kim Kashkashian's viola (it’s a pity she wasn’t mentioned... to be fair, there’s not just the saxophone in this album) remains one of the most beautiful things I heard last year. The review isn’t badly written, but the arguments seem to be recycled, and these do seem to always be the same. Bye.

Nice choice Copernicus, Mr. Nobody, if you want to continue the discussion I know that Hassel's Maarifa Street Magic Realism vol II just came out, I’ll pick it up for Christmas. Bye :)
