This is today's listening! I don't know what to say, Symbad... the first impression is stunning, it truly leaves me with what you're saying, namely a sense of freshness... now I want to get the original records of this pianist... thank you, thank you... the episode you mentioned about the epistolary/electronic relationship with him is also beautiful, he must be a great one :))

Reading your reviews and comments (see Coleman’s review), I continuously discover many things, which is why I enjoy these pages. Like you, I am not very fond of compilations, although they can be useful at times. I haven't listened to the album; the rating is an expression of unwavering respect for Zawinul and Cannonball. By the way, what happened to Zawinul?

Ah Vì ... what a coincidence :) "Una sangre" one blood I reviewed here some time ago and it's an album I still listen to every now and then, for me it's splendid; the new album, however, is a bit different, I can't tell you if it's more or less beautiful, I still haven't gotten into it as I'd like ... we'll see if I have the time and desire to talk about it. Yasmin Levy, on the other hand, is an example of Mediterranean cultural intersections being a Sephardic Jew (flamenco and the East). But I don't know how easy it is to find her albums, it took me forever. Bye

Forget about Pollock's masturbation, everything you say reflects many doubts I was pondering, greatly enriching the discussion with your contribution. Thx. Dear Symbad, it's not so much the need for a single novelty—though there are indeed some, and you have flooded me with music that I still haven't finished absorbing :)—but it was more about a concept of innovation embedded in a cultural context. Then the answer to the question is really "dunno" and the sacher torte is delicious :))
