The rhyming adjective "stale" about Simon & Garfunkel hurt me a bit, while the rest did me good; I’d say it’s a fitting description... I don’t remember this album right now, but it seems I’ve listened to it. And what about the latest album? I’m enjoying it quite a bit.

Fusillo, sorry for the late reply, but I've been a bit absent. I know the album you recommended; I picked it up at the time. Great recommendation, by the way, and - I reaffirm - he is a great one. Cheers and thanks :)

It's an album that grows slowly. At first, it doesn't surprise, but little by little it seeps under the skin. It has all the intensity of Real Life, but it seems to me a more mature work. It has certainly metabolized all the (not few) experiences accumulated over the years. The duet with Rufus Wainwright is a true gem of a "cabaret" stage song; you can feel that both have let themselves go. Good arrangements, measured brass and choirs, not intrusive; his voice is always beautiful... the review is very nice as always. Ciao vivis and see you next time...

this album is still beautiful and - re-reading it 2 years later - the review isn’t bad either

Oh, this might interest someone: Tom Waits will be in concert in Milan around mid-July, ticket prices a bit high (€90 - €125).
