Anyway, grind is a mix of hardcore punk (Death Kennedys, Agnostic Front, Misfits, Exploited, etc.) with the typical growl of death metal, all pushed to the extreme. The band that laid the foundations for grind is Avulsed, and the first grind album is considered to be Scum by Napalm Death (1987).
