Claudio Baglioni Claudio Baglioni
Voto:
Baglioni has a strange effect on me: his classical-sounding melodies I sometimes don't mind, but what I can't stand (as Finardi would have said) are the lyrics... unfortunately, he sings in Italian, and the words are really clear (alas). The 2 is for Baglioni in general. I won't comment on the review because I'm in a good mood this morning.

Primiballi, look, I agree with you: there is no more respect, I meant, towards Mark Knopfler from Scaruffi!

Zion, imagine a rarefied adagio like a new age music, literally shattered by an earthquake of string vibrations: that's what happens in the adagio of the String Quintet in C major D956. Strong sensations can also come from classical music, and even (in this case) chamber music, much to the chagrin of those who say it’s only meant for relaxation (try to relax with Beethoven's Seventh if you can!)

Primiballi, you know that the one who calls him the poor man's Morricone is Piero Scaruffi, who manages a vast music encyclopedia on the Internet. There's really no more respect, as the good Adelmo Fornaciari would say.

Allow me, but why should someone who completely agrees with what another writes be labeled as a sycophant by the usual anonymous (Mauro at 99.9%)? When I don't agree with puntinicaz, like for example on Bruce Springsteen, I certainly don't hold back my opinion. On what he wrote here, I completely agree. Is that okay?

Regarding the adagio of the quintet in C major (D956), some biographers say that that incredible and desperate leap of strings which interrupts an almost hypnotic flow halfway through the movement can be attributed to the syphilis of poor Schubert, which caused him terrible nerve crises. A similar "nervous eruption" would have had a similar origin within the adagio of the beautiful Trio D 898. Is it true, or were people already saying a lot of nonsense back then?

No, I only know her by reputation. Anyway, I see we agree on the two best soundtracks (and how could it be otherwise?), even if I'm a bit more lenient.

How nice it is to agree with Enkriko, but precisely because the album isn't that bad after all, why not give it a passing grade?

ALMOST every genre because there are no concerts for solo instrument and orchestra. Who knows why.

Ah well, if we go beyond the Lieder, Schubert is immense in almost any genre: symphonies, sonatas, and piano pieces (the last 3 sonatas D 958-D960 are three absolute masterpieces), chamber music, sacred music, etc. It’s incredible also the amount of music composed in just 31 years of life.
