It should be noted that the first c in "Coca Cola" remains hard: we don't aspire to all the c's!

P.S. For piergiorgio: that sounded less like a Tuscan expression and more like that of a rather drunk Livornese. Masini, being a good Florentine, doesn’t completely swallow his Cs but turns them into "h". Classic example: "coha hola hon la hannuccia"

But is it really the original cover? One of the most obscene ever seen. One could perhaps say even more bullshit about the piece of shit that unfortunately was born in my same city, but this is enough to get an idea of the individual.
Modest Mussorgsky Quadri di un'esposizione

I expect a flurry of reviews about that little composer starting from January 27, who, by the way, is still unbelievably at 0. I don’t have any planned for now, but I know they will come out, and that can only make me happy. Allow me a small correction: 250th anniversary of the birth, not of the death.
Fabrizio De André Fabrizio De André in concerto vol.2

It's always been the only criticism I've had of this album: why so "stingy"? With the vast repertoire that De André already had back then, so much more could have been done. But the little that's there is still of great quality.

If you're attending a music school, there will certainly be people who truly understand music, much more than I do as a pure listener who can’t even play the wooden flute (because it wasn’t included when I was in elementary school). I discovered everything on my own, and only around the age of 25-27, so while I know an infinite number of works and appreciate them, I haven’t had a real musical training. So, as a simple enthusiast, I'd say you're off to a great start if you're already listening to Bach and Beethoven. I would also add Mozart, Brahms, Schubert, but it's easier to say that I wouldn't exclude anyone. Little by little, take your time; you have plenty of it.

I enjoyed reading this exchange of ideas, finally civil, between the "old timer" (that is, someone around my age, I imagine, in his forties) Mr. Nobody and the very young BeatBoy. The fact that many eighteen-year-olds, as this site suggests, sometimes know better than I do certain historical groups like E.L.P., Genesis, King Crimson, etc., who were making records before they were even born, can only please me. I understand BeatBoy's enthusiasm for hearing an album like this, which stands in stark contrast to all the noise from brainless teenagers that infests today’s radio, and so I feel a bit sorry for having dampened that healthy and rightful enthusiasm with a comparison (which is a no-brainer) between E.L.P.'s "Pictures at an Exhibition" and Mussorgsky's original. But what matters most is that our BeatBoy is curious, he doesn’t passively swallow everything that’s fed to him, and just as he discovered E.L.P., he will also be able to discover Mussorgsky performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker, and I'm sure he will enjoy that too.

My religion does not allow for duplicates, at least for now. Being very dutiful (some say "You're all dutiful," and I'm not sure if that's a compliment), I take literally the box that needs to be checked before sending every review, so I always make sure it hasn’t already been sent. Anyway, yours is more than enough, as they say about the viti.

Absolute masterpiece by Santana universally, but I would also re-evaluate the mystic-jazz phase, that of "Caravanserai" and "Welcome," not to mention the live "Lotus," which is a synthesis of this phase and the more "Latin" phase of Abraxas and surrounding works. In short, I wouldn't discard anything from Santana until the mid-'70s. After that, let's forget it (including the current zombie).
