It’s true: sooner or later we will end up reviewing the same album, considering that the territory we cover is the same. Luckily, it’s quite broad. What can I say? Congratulations again, both for the choice and for the comment. Too kind of you to mention me for "Body and soul": I'm not Bertoncelli!
Genesis ...and Then There Were Three...
Voto:
Oh, the bait worked: finally we hear from Mr. Iko, as sanguine as ever! So, a 1 seems like a piece-of-junk rating (something like Marco Masini, to be clear), and this will be a rather ordinary and "average" record, but it’s not crap. Anyway, I anticipate that for me "Abacab" is a 2. I also add, for your comfort, that if we had voted in tenths, I would have given the two famous post-Gabriel albums that pissed you off so much a 9, while the four preceding ones, starting with Foxtrot, a full 10. However, Debaser's stars are so few that you can't nitpick between absolute masterpieces and great albums. I’ll wrap up and confess my ignorance about the bands you suggested, except for Gentle Giant, about whom I can only say good things. Ave.

...and another album that I love and wish I could have reviewed is leaving... It comforts me to know that the review is excellent, worthy of the album.
Paolo Conte Elegia

Comment on a word: "Finally!". Record I've never heard, but at least 4 out of the box. Paolo Conte may keep you waiting for 9 years, but certainly not for something mediocre.
Franco Battiato Fetus

P.S. I hadn't read the previous comment, which I basically almost repeated. Pardon
Franco Battiato Fetus
Voto:
Are we sure that lately Battiato has become "very pop-commercial"? It seems to me merely a superficial aspect: albums like "L'imboscata" (see also my review), "Gommalacca," and the very latest "Dieci stratagemmi" are overflowing with ideas bordering on the experimental, while still being highly enjoyable rather than "on the verge of listenable."
Laura Pausini Resta In Ascolto
Voto:
Goodness, I think I've missed out on years and years of Pausini's evolution! I was stuck with a Sanremo tune that I believe was called "Strani amori," a repetitive and inhuman bleating that I heard nonstop at a crazy volume thanks to a brainless neighbor. It's the only song (if we can call it that) I know from our national Laura, who apparently has become quite a big deal in the meantime. I guess I will have to catch up.
The Doors The Doors

Nice to find a comment (especially such a positive one) more than two months later, when you no longer expect it. Of course, I also was quite a fool to send a review of an album like that right around Ferragosto! Just for the record, the nickname is a moniker, in English it stands for Grasshopper (there's even an album by J.J. Cale titled "Grasshopper"), but I carry it for entirely different reasons (I can boast quite a remarkable build).
Genesis Wind & Wuthering
Voto:
Popeye, in your hilarious declaration of love for the Collins-era Genesis (the ones I’ve already mentioned 7-8 times that I don’t like either), you forgot Genesis 1983 (Mama, to be clear). While we’re at it, shall we give that one a nice 5 as well?

Wow, Mr_Iko is more combative and irritable than Popeye! But apparently, he gets angry even before reading the reviews: my praises are only for "Wind and Wuthering." What does it have to do with what came after?
