Blown under the nose! It wasn't the next one, but one of the next 4-5 that I had planned. However, it's hard to say (and I say this without flattery) that I would have done better.

To Mr_Iko, who wonders "Why review albums like these?" I would simply ask, "And which ones, then?" I don't believe that those who choose these classics do so to show off as connoisseurs, but the fact is that milestones generally provide more insights, more impressions to convey, in short, more reasons to write a review.

I too am among those who prefer the Paris Concert (a nice crowd, I didn’t expect that), or better yet, to listen to the piano of the excellent Schubert (or Chopin, Schumann, etc.). However, this doesn’t give me the right to trash the review (the best one by Eze so far, with appropriate quotes placed just right), let alone the record, and in this case a 4 is already a slam.

Don't worry, Antonino, I only mentioned the first 4 to keep it short (and for some, even that wasn't enough). They’re great even after that, no doubt, maybe great and not extremely great. There’s just one exception: "In through the out door." But even they, after all, are human and can make mistakes.

Kosmogabri's love declaration makes you think, because it brings about a genuine joy, stemming from the fact that an album like this exists. After all (and I'm telling this to myself too), who cares about who reviews it and how they do it... The important thing is that "Harvest" is here, and after 33 years since its release, it still feels fresh with every listen.

"damn, I wanted to review this myself.. Name: Ezekiel25_17 | Date: 3/3/2005 | Rating: 3 | Album Rating: 5" I might have misunderstood, but it seemed to me like an angry comment, and also a bit unfair, because the review may not have been exceptional, but it deserved more, especially since it was even picked by the staff. I, on the other hand, did the opposite with you; I was overly lenient, and someone actually thought I was crazy. However, you are right about one thing: one should not write to please others, but to express what they have inside.

Pugliamix, when I start being a gentleman, sometimes I overdo it: fits of generosity overwhelm me and I become more soft-hearted than Veltroni. In fact, reading it more carefully, it was a 3, but I have a tremendous fondness for the name Ezechiele, since I cheered for Ezechiele Lupo since I was a child and I always hoped that sooner or later he would catch those 3 silly little pigs... Sometimes in our assessments we are irrational, which doesn't mean we are crazy. Anyway, with your 2 you set things right again.

Dear Ezekiel, did you get mad and give me a gray 3 because I beat you to the review of Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks"? Well, now we're even, because I would have loved to review a masterpiece like "Harvest." But I won’t get upset, and I’ll give you the 4 you deserve.

Dear Giubbo, believe me: between D'Alessio and Masini, it's quite a battle for who sucks more. D'Alessio is everything you said, and I would also add a few not-so-suspicious ties to the Camorra. But even Masini, in his own small way, doesn't joke around: a former violent fan (despite his physique), a rotten fascist, reactionary and obtuse like a Buttiglione... almost a Mauro who sings (or rather, emits sounds like a squashed frog). The reason I often mention him as an example of garbage is that unfortunately he is my fellow citizen, an authentic shame of Florence, much more so than Cecchi Gori.
Van Morrison Astral Weeks

Kosmogabri, your compliments are always very much appreciated, even if they don't translate into votes. I think that to get closer to Van Morrison, Astral Weeks is definitely the ideal starting point; then I would move on to the equally wonderful Moondance, take a look at the excellent Saint Dominic's Preview (very bluesy), and finally I would give more than just a glance at the fascinating Celtic period of the '80s (Inarticulate Speech of the Heart, A Sense of Wonder, No Guru, No Method, No Teacher). If you like at least 4 out of these 6, you can comfortably continue: the repertoire is vast.
