I also took part in the mockery of the two unwary G & D. In fact, this review, although not providing arguments in favor of an indefensible artist, shows that it is possible to discuss even the most abject phenomena with due knowledge. As Battiato said: "E il mio maestro m'insegnò com'è difficile trovare l'alba dentro l'imbrunire..." Well done, you manage to do it!

Peppe, out of curiosity, what time did you send the review? Just to see if the telepathy is complete or not... July 4th, two reviews on the same album from 1969, agreeing on everything except for Tony Banks' keyboards... And yet I don’t know you!

Perez, thank you, but don’t let it go to my head too much. And I’ve been a bit unbalanced here, that is to say a bit too harsh, as evidenced by the grades given in the comments. On the other hand, a Cicirinella record can be mediocre, but with the Genesis, precisely because it's them, nothing is forgiven. Not even if they’re 18 years old.

Thank goodness, because often we misunderstand each other even when we see each other face to face, and I don’t want any conflicts with anyone (neither with you, nor with puntinicaz).

Dear Massimof, the "creatura" (which is not coincidentally in quotes) was a response to puntinicaz, who claimed that if I hadn't been the first to review Bruce, you wouldn't have come either. I hope you understand the ironic sense of the word. As for defending yourself from puntinicaz's outbursts, you don't need me to do that: you can very well handle it on your own. And if you feel offended for some obscure reason that I don't know, that's your business.

P.S. Who is Vrensis?

I'm not here to defend my "creature," but Massimof doesn't strike me as a fool who just spouts nonsense. Okay, he likes Bruce Springsteen (I do too, maybe a little less than he does). He may have exaggerated a bit with that comparison to Everest regarding "Born in The USA," but throwing fish in his face over something so minor seems excessive to me.

Sure, there's some truth to it: calling someone an idiot can be a great pleasure in certain cases. I also preach well, but some time ago I couldn't help but mock two idiot fourteen-year-olds who had written (if you can call it that) an ode to Cesare Cremonini. Then I regretted it: it was a bit like shooting at the Red Cross. But in the meantime, I did it.

Alright, it’s clear that you’re not mad at me (nor the other way around, of course: without your free-style non-reviews and your slang, this site would lose a lot), but when it comes to Springsteen and U2, you really can’t be objective. It’s human: I’d probably feel the same temptation if there were reviews about Gianna Nannini (even the name annoys me), but fortunately, at least for now, there aren’t any on debaser. I say I’d feel the temptation, because, as Hal, the true gentleman of this site, teaches us, in these cases it’s better to say no comment. Have you ever thought about ignoring the reviews of both Bruce and U2?

So it’s true, there is telepathy between me and Peppe: crazy, two reviews written on the same day about an album that’s 36 years old, and far from a masterpiece.
