R.E.M. Automatic For The People
Voto:
I believe it's a matter of taste, but in general, I can never find the spark of genius in R.E.M.: a nice sound, a guarantee of quality, but never that extra touch of class that makes you say, "Wow, what a discovery!" However, for this album, I’m making an exception, because I guess I just love elegiac themes, and here R.E.M. has gone beyond all expectations. Among the albums I know of theirs (not many), this is definitely the best.
Lucio Battisti Amore e non amore
Voto:
I know him only in part (some tracks included in a collection from Linea 3), but this excellent review encourages me to listen to it in full. 4 based on what I know.
Cesare Cremonini Maggese
Voto:
Maggese by Cesare Cremonini beats The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd 3 - 2 (number of reviews). As Montalbano would say, there's something that doesn't add up to me...
Carla Bruni Quelqu'un m'a dit
Voto:
5 to Carla Bruni (but not to the album) and to the usual genius of puntinicaz
Lucio Battisti E Già
Voto:
Disks, not "dich," clearly. Since I'm at it, I’ll find a flaw: I would agree word for word, except for one: that "EPIDICTIC" at the beginning of the review. If it exists, I would have used a simpler synonym.

And indeed... what can I add, except that it's a review I would endorse word for word? I'm someone who finds the following phase, the panellian one, quite hard to swallow, but compared to this "hybrid," I'm all in.
Genesis From Genesis To Revelation
Voto:
Okay, it’s all the same, still incredible nonetheless... If it had been a masterpiece like "Foxtrot" or "Selling England By The Pound," but two reviews for an album like this don’t even deserve it.

I around 9 in the morning on Monday... how did mine arrive first?

And with this 4, you’re already at passing.

Firegas, don't be too hard on yourself: not everyone has the bad luck of debuting with U2 (or with Bruce Springsteen) and thus triggering the nitpicking. After that, a whole mess of discussions begins (I've participated in them too, I admit), and both the review and the album get lost in the shuffle. It’s not the first time, nor will it be the last. Don’t let it affect you and try again.
