Pearl Jam Backspacer
Voto:
Certainly better than the previous one.
It may appeal more to those who have never closely followed them than to the fans who will always long like fools for another Ten or another Vitalogy.
Fortunately, things evolve, people change, and they do different things.
Backspacer is a credible album that represents what Pearl Jam are today: a rock band firmly rooted in the American folk and country tradition.
The album is marked by a fair amount of inspiration, although 3-4 songs make it look bad.
Franco Battiato Inneres Auge
Voto:
Yes, I understand guys, but he's done everything and at certain levels, he can afford to do whatever he wants. I would prefer that he stopped or limited himself to some collaborations with other artists. But... he can do whatever he wants.
Mountain Nantucket Sleighride
Voto:
Anyway.. yes, the record can be found, don't play smart.
Mountain Nantucket Sleighride
Voto:
Oooh, well done!
Great band the Mountain.
Top-notch album from start to finish.
In my opinion, they gave one of the 2-3 best performances at Woodstock.
Legends.
4.5
Elbow The Seldom Seen Kid
Voto:
It’s beautiful to put it back on the player with these cloudy, rainy days.
It’s an album that warms, elegant, intense, even romantic, but not sappy,
at times soothing.
Bellobello.
Usually, I can’t appreciate overly polished productions like this one too much, but
these guys, well, they know what they’re doing.
I just hope that now, after the success of The Seldom Seen Kid, the awards received (Best Band in Britain 2008) and the rave reviews from the British press don’t force them to rush back too quickly.
They can take all the time they want if they’re going to return with albums of this quality.
It’s a shame they have such crazy hype at home and that nobody pays attention to them in Italy.
Niccolò Fabi Novo mesto
Voto:
Rating 3.
Review poorly structured: you can't start by listing only the flaws like that.
Niccolò Fabi Novo mesto
Voto:
The early Fabi didn’t even blow my mind, but more due to a lack of appreciation for the music and arrangements than for the lyrics. Fabi’s first lyrics were only seemingly trivial (of course, distinctions need to be made), but often they concealed sharp reflections. This album is decent.
The Replacements Tim
Voto:
Great record.
Original review, but one I do not agree with.
A fundamental, legendary band, not very known here, idols in the States.
Lady GaGa The Fame
Voto:
Horrible focus-group music.
For ignorant retards.
Kaiser Chiefs Off With Their Heads
Voto:
Rating 2.5.
It's time for them to change, to do something a little different because they’re starting to get tiresome.
They're not geniuses to begin with, and if they keep repeating themselves, it’s hard to judge them positively.
Anyway, they know how to entertain; they're quite fun if someone wants an easy, danceable British pop track to listen to in the car. That’s fine too. The other two, however, are better.
