But Michael Kamen, the brother of the guy who did the Levi's ads? Is he dead? Really... I tried to listen to Metallica when Death Magnetic came out, but I just couldn't do it...

no no I am happily married and a father of two children....:-) and for me the mere phrase ā€œma bella dioā€ is worth the purchase of the CD.......but why should someone have to be in a relationship just because they like an artist? And then he himself says it in this CD, I have nothing to do with music, I am not a singer so.......you are right......for the lyrics it’s genius, but I respect those who don’t appreciate him, I don’t make jokes.....

if you have the skills you have every reason to do it and I enjoy discussing amicably with you and I can tell you that when someone likes an artist it’s hard to change their mind. When Uprising by Muse came out, I told my son it was the same as Call Me by Blondie, but there was no way... me

I like you much more like this, but not because you are agreeing with me (which you are not). What I want to make you understand is how someone like me, at 51 years old, can appreciate Caparezza and at the same time buy the Mogwai album on eBay. I liked it and I bought it; I didn’t do Google searches to see if they copied from anyone. You probably have that impression about Caparezza's album because you know those bands you mentioned; I don’t, and I buy albums solely based on what I listen to... For example, I find "Rano Pano" very similar to "Sometimes" by My Bloody Valentine, but that's not why I didn't buy it—it's just a matter of taste, I believe... Now, I might agree with you on the music, but many say the lyrics are genius...

I don't expect you to say it's a masterpiece; even if it were, as you say, it's still genius because it has immense musical knowledge, don't you think?

But why, if it were true what you say, would there be anything wrong? Everyone copies—Muse's "Uprising" is the same as Blondie's "Call Me," and it's a worldwide hit. I'd like to remind you that a certain Paul McCartney said in '65 that there are seven notes... My son plays lead guitar at a very high level. I don't know if you're a musician to say such things, and then you haven't understood one thing: I don't give a damn if the bases are copied or not. Even Led Zeppelin were accused of being plagiarists. I like them and whether they copied "Whole Lotta Love," I don't care... The guy they copied it from became known thanks to Led Zeppelin, just like with "Stairway to Heaven." And where is it written that those who listen to music must understand music? When you go to buy a CD, they don't ask if you play... I have Mark Hollis's solo album in my collection and it's a great album, but I also like Caparezza. It's a crime? I don't think so...

I don't like your tastes, which may be refined; I would prefer one of your beloved artists... so you're a genius and I'm an idiot? I don't think it works that way...

I don't give a damn about thumbs up... and I don't need to understand music since I'm not a musician; I listen to music, which is different, and above all, I don't belittle those who have tastes different from mine.
