Tractor, I just brought the article back to spark the debate from the series: "What the hell do you think?" Maybe you have something more interesting to post? I would read it with pleasure. Then, for heaven's sake, just read the parts that interest you. "Who are the Tool fans today? A few years ago, more or less, the bands that shared fans with Tool were Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, and Soundgarden. Since 2006, the landscape has changed a bit. The historical followers - who we can identify as those who have been following the band since before Lateralus - are increasingly fewer, while the new adherents are growing in number, as is natural considering that those who were around in the Nineties have now grown up, entered the workforce, and gradually have had less and less time for rock. The niche grunge enthusiasts are becoming extinct, nu-metal fortunately no longer exists, and most of my contemporaries are now either disbanded or washed-up, and unfortunately, what often serves as a substitute for love among the new fans is the absurdity of prog metal (with the ridiculously uncool Dream Theater at the forefront of a mostly American and Scandinavian bunch of bands)." For example, for me, this passage makes perfect sense. I am a historical follower who thinks he is in a clear minority compared to "the new adherents," that's all.

MARMAR: at one point in this article, there is even a hope for a "psychedelic turning point" (which wouldn’t be too bad after all): link rotto

I'll say something: it's a wrench shaped like a cock. Speaking of cocks, after all this waiting for the new album's release, I’d say they’ve almost broken me. Six years of waiting for the new one is really too much, no matter if they're called Tool, the Madonna, or Saint Joseph. Unless it's an unparalleled masterpiece, this time I won't forgive them. And honestly, let me say it… Maynard has gotten on my nerves with this "Blood into Wine" stuff, I couldn't care less that you're making good wine, I won't even buy it, just focus on singing, for fuck's sake. But maybe this isn't even the fundamental problem. Rumors are circulating that Adam Jones has gone into indefinite hibernation (so much for "new album halfway through"). Anyway… if only they'd come back like they did in "Undertow" with the sounds of the early '90s… I’d take back everything I’ve written…

Damn, a Capossela concert. Damn, 3 hours?!? I mean, the question arises spontaneously: "how the hell do you manage to endure?" After 10 minutes of this, I'm forced to listen to 7 hours non-stop of Prostitute Disfigurement just to recover. Far from me, but really far, pretty far. Rather, I’ll go look for fung(h)i.

Among the bands you mentioned, the only one I've fully absorbed is Can, and if I had to name my favorite Krautrock band, well, it would definitely be them. The thing is, I've tried listening to and re-listening to both Amon Duul and the aforementioned ones, but I don't know why, around the 15-20 minute mark of the album, I spontaneously experience a serious case of confusion (being the music ignoramus that I am) that I just can't explain. That's it, I've decided to really commit; now I'm going to download their entire discography and strap myself to the chair with barbed wire. For heaven's sake.
