I haven't read this book. You could have easily spared me the provocation (really bourgeois in this case). Generally speaking, not bad. However, it seems to me that, while reading, there's a risk (at least from your words, perhaps it wasn't your intention) of confusing two actually different (sometimes even opposing) aspects: knowing oneself and believing in oneself (only the latter is truly made explicit, but it becomes less clear in the context of the considerations you made and, I believe, the author as well, about intimacy). So this point isn't very clear to me (and I don't think that's my problem). Additionally, though I can understand, it seems you underestimate the issues related to mass phenomena, such as revolutions. You underestimate it, without delving into it. It would have been worse if you had done so superficially. So it doesn't bother me too much, especially since, in any case, you've highlighted an interesting topic that seems to have been addressed in the work as well.
