Musically, I’ve always been indifferent. I really don’t care about her! If I had been McGowan, I would have gone down heavy and literally with Rum, Sodomy And The Lash. (I get that he wanted to do her “good,” but getting her arrested, come on!) Then there's the pope story... he even apologized to her!!!! But screw that! Not to mention his Christianoid delusions that make no sense whatsoever! Seems like superficial stuff to me.

Like almost all Norwegian black metal (except for Mayhem), it has always disgusted me (even as a metalhead), so I never really cared much about the issues regarding the character and the artist. A bit of an overly long review, but well-written. Profound and sharp.
