Deep Purple Live @ Teatro Smeraldo, Milano 15.07.2008

I saw them the day after: a very beautiful and emotional concert, although it was the least impactful among all the ones by the Purple that I've attended. Unfortunately, Gillan was extremely tired, and playing practically every night isn't good for him. It's likely that his voice now goes in phases, given that last year in Varese he had an exceptional concert, the kind that brings you to tears... anyway, on stage no band is like them; they are something out of the ordinary for their eagerness to play, to have fun, and to entertain. And then they have a truly unique love relationship with their audience.
I had the chance to "meet" them (so to speak) in '96, in Bologna, when I was among the unfortunate ones setting up the stage: all exceptional people, kind and helpful to everyone, so I'm a bit surprised by borrito's comment (did you have to deal with Ritchie? :D), especially because there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing their arrival in Milan, where you can see how, despite everything, they are friendly and kind to everyone.

the review sucks, the album doesn’t, on the contrary.

I even have it on vinyl. Unbeatable (a bit like Rio Mare tuna...)
Frank Capra It's a Wonderful Life

the movie is a masterpiece, the review is really crap: enough with these fake attempts to seem original and different at all costs, you're boring... bye bye

Only the opening scene is worth a debaseriano. This is a great movie, there's no question about it. Whether it’s a masterpiece or not, who cares. I believe the peak is reached in the supporting roles, like Joe Pesci's mom, or the wig salesman, or the thousand tough guys that populate the scenes. Having seen it a thousand times, it remains stunning.

The 883 remain one of the most underrated bands of all time. I would say that, in the context of Italian music history, their importance is only comparable to the Battisti-Mogol duo. This song, then, is a masterpiece!

Great review, you can tell there's a lot of passion behind it. Here's a group I should listen to again calmly...

A film that is almost poetic in its own way, excellent review (maybe just a tad long).
Farrelly Brothers Io, Me & Irene

Probably my favorite by the Farrelly brothers along with another one whose title I can't remember because I watched it in a daze one New Year's Eve between 4 and 5 AM (it was that amazing one with Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson about bowling... a masterpiece!). Anyway, every time I rewatch Me, Myself & Irene I laugh like an idiot (which I am, by the way...).
