You're right, Hal, I actually overlooked this important detail in this case. I apologize to the readers. Mistake.

I understand what you mean. In my opinion, a review should not have its own identity; it should strive to best convey the identity of the artist it describes. Here, there is a somewhat distorted view on this point. I've noticed what you say, reading the reviews of others. I’m not interested in being successful; I have no desire for the spotlight. I enjoy writing about music and try to provide a minimal service for those who might not be familiar with what I listen to. In my humble opinion, it's not right to fill a review with fantasies. That, to me, is mere exhibitionism.

I've never listened to egebamyasi. I chose it as my nickname because I liked the sound of it. I have Tago Mago (it just arrived via the internet, and at what a price, damn it!). Do you also recommend egebamyasi? And future days? Actually, you know what? Write a nice review so I can find all the clarifications regarding it!

Alright, sorry... sob... don't bash me... I got the Turkish lesson. You're right, it is a bit difficult to read. Forgive me, I'm new and I don't get along very well with the computer.

Back in the days of De Gregori's dad, someone had lost reason – in fact, it’s questionable whether they ever had it. And with him, more than one person. Anyway, Hal, tell me where your doubts about the review come from.

Do you know something? I am from the south, but remember, even if expressed in a terrible and disgusting way, the words of the antiterrone convey a small truth.

I would like to emphasize the characteristics that a good review should have. First of all, in my opinion, it must give an idea of what one will listen to in the album. It should mainly address those who have never heard the album before. It needs to convey, as far as possible, the characteristics of the sound, and when particularly relevant, the depth of the lyrics. The "flights of fancy," in my view, are very dangerous and should be used sparingly. Otherwise, one risks overshadowing the album in favor of personal sensations (a review can NEVER be PURE; one can strive for that, but the memories, emotions, and states of mind that the album evokes are nevertheless indelible). It ends up being a free poetic expression of the reviewer that may invade areas the author never intended to touch. There is a risk of turning the text into free poetry (maybe even very beautiful) that has little to do with the album, or that anyway starts from the album only to drift away from it. Taste is subjective...

I find the review improvable, but let's be honest: it was a challenging task. The album is wonderful in every way. All the songs reach high levels, each with a different charm. I find the term used for HO VISTO NINA VOLARE very fitting—dreamlike. Indeed, this song is truly a dream; try listening to it in the darkness of the night... it gives you an unbearable weight, let's say typical of Battiato's songs. I don't know how much Fossati influenced the making of the album; I don't particularly like him, too cryptic, and it's a tough kind of crypticism, not dreamy and fairy-tale-like like De Gregori's. The music is also great; this is truly a masterpiece of "ethnic" sound. The arrangements are never forced, always in service of the piece.
