Virgin Prunes ...If I Die, I Die
Voto:
Dear brrrk, I know that the record was produced by Newman from Wire; I didn’t mention it, culpably, so on this point I agree with you. Regarding the idea of considering this the first LP, I meant, as you say, in the strictest sense. For completeness, I could have also highlighted the works you mentioned (I didn’t do it to avoid being too verbose). Finally, concerning the value of the record, well, I don’t agree with you. "If I Die" is a very fascinating album, certainly a masterpiece of the whole new wave, but in the second part (on the old side B, to be clear...) there are too many dips in quality. As I’ve already written, the level is always good, but it doesn’t give anything more. If this is an epoch-making masterpiece, then "Not Available" by the Residents, which I recently reviewed, should be mandatory reading in all high schools. There is a "clear" difference between the two records. They are completely different genres, but I have to use a benchmark. If I gave a 4 to "Not Available", it would deserve a 6, and indeed I did not express any grade in the review because there is no 6 on Debaser. In the end, however, they are always opinions, and it’s nice to discuss them. Best regards and see you soon.

Thank you for the certificate of appreciation, Kosmo. Intrusive? What are you talking about? The more people comment, the more a discussion opens up, the happier I am. Dear Kosmo, comment, comment, comment!

Yes Kosmo, listen to this, it's definitely a safe bet. It's a really intriguing album.

If you haven't heard the album yet and you're an admirer of the Residents' philosophy, get it, even if you have to pay a lot. (It cost me 35 euros, and for a university student, I assure you that's not a small amount... but I cherish it like a jewel, both outside and inside me.) I really want to see how many will comment on this review... a very tough proposition.

I didn't make a mistake. This record has no value. Let's say it deserves a 6.
Francesco De Gregori Bufalo Bill
Voto:
De Gregori is an immense artist in many ways. I can say that he is the only one capable of moving me. It’s true, perhaps I am personally connected to him through memories, but I objectively believe that some songs, in the union of lyrics and music, represent the pinnacle of the entire history of singer-songwriter production, and not just Italian.

Ah, the review is quite ugly.

it's absurd to define this album a masterpiece, in my opinion. I bought it and I curse the shopkeeper who recommended it to me. 20 euros damn it that could have been spent much better. boring, baroque, repetitive, fake.

this record is truly depth and sophistication made sound. I like the review, it's hard to talk about such a monument, so well done and courageous.
