Brian Eno Here Come The Warm Jets

Honestly Kikujiro, I don't really hear much of Kraftwerk in Depeche Mode, or at least they aren't among the best epigones of the German group.

Okay Fidia, but I don't agree with this point either. Although stylistically different, in my opinion, the Cure deserve to be remembered more, simply because I think they’re more talented. Then again, it's just opinions. Best regards!

Yes, it's dated, but I don't know how many records from that era (and beyond) possess the same class...

I honestly don't think you can compare "Pornography" with this. That album is almost hellish, it radiates warmth, fire, right from the cover, and, honestly, with all the sympathy I have for Borland and the Sounds, it's superior to anything these unfortunate Englishmen have produced. Even "Ju-Ju" is different, much more electronic, although it's an album I never particularly loved, finding it overrated and very "surface level."
Odra, thank you for the ever-kind mention. Sooner or later, I will overcome this apathy that has been gripping me lately.

A great record from Klaus Schulze, now in his second phase, distant in approach and sound from his first two "cosmic" albums. The uniqueness of Schulze in X is marked by the sensuality of his electronics. A warm and enveloping sound: It’s no coincidence that the guy also composed a soundtrack for a prono by Lasse Brown... try playing "Georg Trakl" during your most intimate moments... then let me know.

Hello Odra, hello pretazzo. Congratulations on the comment, great analysis. But come on guys, this album is a 5!
Steve Vai Fire Garden

For me, Vai's music doesn't "refer to," it is what it shows. Period. In my opinion, it lacks a project that uses music to convey a message, to create an atmosphere, a landscape, a condition.
Depeche Mode Music for the Masses

Well, I wouldn't really say that in dance. There have been people who, as I mentioned before, could outshine Depeche when it comes to standalone tracks. Plus, they're not strictly "dance."

Sure, but let's not exaggerate in relativizing everything. It's fine to have personal tastes, but only up to a certain point. I don't know the techniques used by Vai, but I don't care. I know albums that are technically on par with zero but that have had a far greater impact on the development of new musical forms. Or simply that evoke more emotions. You could tell me: "But I also get emotional with Steve Vai." My friend used to say that too, but he got emotional because he thought: "Damn, how good he is, and what sound that guitar produces, I want one too." For me, music needs to convey deeper sensations. From this point of view, however, I agree with you. This is my perspective. You can think whatever you want; that’s fine.
