"Betray everyone to avoid being alone"... "change style by cutting heads"... clearer than that ;) ...anyway, originality is also a somewhat overrated judgment driver... you can also make a "conventional" record that, if it communicates and evokes emotions, certainly shouldn't be considered inferior to an "original" record... if you listen to Razmatazz by Paolo Conte, you can better understand what I'm saying... a record that seems to have come out of the '20s/'30s but is absolutely brilliant... perfect... a masterpiece... and originality has nothing to do with it here, but rather the communicative power of the lyrics, the melodic lines, the sound of the instruments, and the atmosphere it creates... magical Avvocato ;)
John Cage 4'33"

4'33''...the music of this piece is not in the notes but in the "propensity to listen" of the listener...for 4'33'', one listens to everything around, every noise, every cough...music as sound...the underlying idea is brilliant...a piece made entirely of "pauses" is the perfect Westernization of Eastern philosophies...one cannot listen to John Cage without knowing his thoughts and artistic purpose! PS: Beautiful review!

Incredible!...and then the ending of the second track, with the speeding up of the guitar on the traditional little tune (totally out of context)...brilliant!

A must-have album. Review... but is it really a review?... meh...
PS: "Swordfishtrombones" is immense... if you didn't like it, listen to it again... it's definitely less immediate than Blue Valentine... but in my opinion, it's definitely superior to the latter (which, for God's sake, is fantastic!!!!)

Do well, 47... you’ll have fun... anyway, maybe talk about the movie and not about supposed love stories... ;)

Come on, what a hardship... in the end it's always Indiana Jones, it certainly doesn't compare to the first and third, maybe it’s on par with the second... anyway, the fact that they are bringing back the old sagas in theaters from Rocky to Rambo to Indy shows how today there are no more ideas in 'fun' cinema!!!

You can't say 'how disgusting' if you haven't even listened!

I liked the review even though you were a bit harsh on the DT... it's true that our creative spark is almost completely gone now... but if you regard it as an album with low expectations, then you can enjoy it too...

History is the most objective criterion (perhaps not absolutely objective, but the most objective) by which one can talk about music... well, I completely disagree... evaluating music through a historical filter is very misleading... there are records that are historically important but perhaps artistically not very valid, and vice versa. Anyway, in the end, we discovered what Lux's problem was... he hadn't read the lyrics! That's why we couldn't understand each other!

MASTERPIECE... except for Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts, which [really a drag, I never listen to it "If she's passing back this way I'm not too hard to find, tell her she can look me up if she's got the time"!!!!!
