Lucio Dalla: Henna
CD Audio I have it ★★★
the real Lucio ends here. then there will be "canzone," "ciao," duets at Sanremo, canzonette for/with the boyfriend and the singing company.
Lucio Dalla: Cambio
CD Audio I have it ★★★
"the swallows", "communist", "beautiful", "2009 the cicadas and the stars", "open your heart"....ok, nice tracks. the rest is bland. 3 stretched stars.
Lucio Dalla: Anidride Solforosa
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
and instead this is my favorite from good Lucio. the most atypical one, the one that "dare" the most, just consider "la borsa valori." to be taken in small doses (like the previous and the next one), but absolutely to be known...

From + Roversi, an irreplaceable alchemy. Three masterpieces, and I also believe this is the best of the trio (title track, Tu parlavi una lingua meravigliosa, Ulisse coperto di sale... Wow!)

Beautiful, yes... but "Automobili" can't be beaten!
  • Martello

Great album, but Automobili is beyond.
Lucio Dalla: Automobili
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Of the trilogy with Roversi, I slightly prefer the first two... but this one remains a masterpiece nonetheless. It would be 5 stars, not completely full, but who cares.
Lucio Dalla: Il Giorno Aveva Cinque Teste
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
extraordinary. "the car with the license plate to" and "the worker Gerolamo" among his first 10-15 greatest masterpieces.
Lucio Dalla: Luna Matana
CD Audio I have it ★★
musical crap! Only "Domenico Sputo" and a bit of "Kamikaze" are worth saving. I'm giving it a 2 just for those, otherwise it would have been a 1.
Lucio Dalla: 1999
CD Audio I have it
a disc that is nearly unlistenable but interesting from a melodic standpoint. I won't dare to give it a rating...
Lucio Dalla: Lucio Dalla

Stories from my home, 1971, with "Itaca," a wonderful description and comparison between the grand hero and the reality behind him, with the ending changed in the live performances (I don't want to spoil the surprise), and "La casa in riva al mare," which after 49 years still gives me chills and makes me tear up... Then "Il giorno aveva 5 teste," "Anidride solforosa," "Automobili"... absolutely to be rediscovered, "Com'è profondo il mare" and the two masterpieces from 1979 and 1980. During the 70s, Lucio Dalla came on tour EVERY YEAR to the Palazzetto dello Sport, and I never missed a show, lucky to witness spectacular and acrobatic performances, with different formations and instruments each time; during the Automobili tour, Lucio and his pards all wore mechanic's denim overalls. But when he finally exploded in 1979, he never returned to my city (sigh...), I wanted to go to the nearest location (Cantù, 35 km on regular roads, but a city rich in amazing concerts, from Steve Hackett to Status Quo to Tubes), but I was overwhelmed by the mile-long line of people on foot who would never find a spot in the beautiful Palasport Pianella of Cucciago, and cars upon cars upon cars parked everywhere haphazardly... so I gave up... Since then, Dalla has become something else, with the exception of Caruso... I tried to see him again in November 2007, aged and tired, standing motionless at the microphone, occasionally at the piano, talking, talking, talking, long monologues perhaps to catch his breath and rest between songs... and I fell asleep several times, and each time my saintly wife jabbed me in the rib... Anyway, Lucio is and remains one of the brightest memories of my life... So Long Lucio.
Lucio Dalla: Lucio
CD Audio I have it ★
what a crappy one this is too! a somewhat unpleasant "putipù". the rest should be avoided like the plague.
"a short blue fairy, bent over, soaked, caressing my clams" eh Lucio Lucio... in the 70s you bring me works like "automobili" or "lucio dalla" and then you release this crap? 1 star is even too much.
Lucio Dalla: Terra di Gaibola
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
the big one begins to get closer and closer...
Pino Daniele: Passi d'autore
CD Audio I have it ★
zzzzzzz...rrrroooooooonf....
Well, considering the unqualified crap that has characterized the other albums of recent past, this one isn't bad at all... a stretched 6 seems fair enough.

From the post "God bless you," only "Medina" (half) is salvaged. The rest is trash.
pino daniele: electric jam
CD Audio I have it ★
lost for words... records like this shouldn't have even seen the light of day, not even under torture; especially when they print the name of Pino Daniele on it. a huge mess, the single with Jax is perhaps his absolute low point... but what the hell is cumbinat pinù!!? you deserve a kick in the ass!
"God bless you" and "don't trample the flowers in the desert," when compared, were two literary works. What utter nonsense.

Even though they were two musical albums. Anyway, yes, compared to this, they were really Hamlet.
unjudgable. only "sicily" is saved
Pino Daniele: Terra mia
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Among Daniele's early albums, this is the least original, still very connected to popular tradition, but incredibly inspired. A unique record in the Italian musical landscape.
Pino Daniele: Pino Daniele

no need for definitions, just "chi tene o mare," "il mare," and "je so pazzo" for the 5.

Pino Daniele: Nero A Metà
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
5? "When it rains", "alleria", "I like the blues", "don’t bother me". Yes, 5.
Pino Daniele: Mascalzone Latino
CD Audio I have it ★★★
for Pinuccio the path is now set, but here it was still unknown. the next album still had a handful of good songs, then...
Pino Daniele: Bella 'Mbriana
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
if "terra mia" is the most Neapolitan, this is the most international. A spectacle, perhaps his greatest masterpiece.
Pino Daniele: Ferry Boat
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
one of the last kicks of the tail, if not the very last. almost 4.5
one increasingly starts to understand where Pinuzzo is heading...

This belongs to that series of albums by Pino from '85 to '89, marked by sound experimentation and not particularly inspired. I believe the only classic from that period is "Anna verrà." Listening to these albums today, not only in terms of inspiration but especially in terms of sound, they haven't aged very well, whereas the masterpieces from the period '79-82 still sound incredibly modern in this regard.
Pino Daniele: Un uomo in blues

"Every little monster is beautiful to his mother!" Well... even back then, the chubby one was starting to scratch the bottom of the barrel with his nails, hurting himself in the process. However, it's true that, all in all, here and in Che Dio Ti Benedica, you can still find a few good pieces... but from 1995 onwards, the abyssal void.
Pino Daniele: Musicante

the last gasp of the "genius" pino daniele, an immense album. the value would be 4.5, but I gladly give it the missing half point.

Roberto Vecchioni: Ipertensione

I really can't stand the oldie, but this one and the two that follow are eternal masterpieces, among the best produced by Italian singer-songwriter music.
Roberto Vecchioni: Ippopotami
