Oh I’m enjoying this, it’s a wonderful album. Meccanica is simply stunning.
Franco Battiato: Pollution
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
The best Battiato from the experimental trilogy '72-'73. The standout tracks are the title track, "Plancton," and "Areknames."

Agreed on everything. Perhaps surpassed only by Aries.
Franco Battiato: Sulle Corde di Aries

Extraordinary record, but the previous "Pollution", as far as I'm concerned, is slightly better. From the following one until around '78, he won't get it right.

Already Clic was somewhere between the abstruse and the incomprehensible, and then afterwards it will be completely incomprehensible.

I was just re-listening to "L'Egitto...", maybe I would have re-evaluated it... I don't know, maybe it's just that I can't really stand the genre anymore, but I just can't get into it, what a terrifying bore! I would also add the self-titled album from '77 and "Juke-Box" ('78).
Great debut for the Battiato-Sgalambro duo. Nice little record, with several excellent tracks, but to be honest, I find it one of the less powerful works of the philosophical phase. It will definitely get better with the next two.

Gems like Breve invito, Piccolo pub, and Gesualdo da Venosa are unforgettable.

Who preceded me listed the only gems (perhaps "Fornicazione"). I'm now listening to a resentful disc, with a rather heavy mood, featuring choirs and ethnic inserts that honestly feel a bit out of place, at least to my ears. The lyrics are not always convincing.

Well, it does contain Brownian motion, which remains mediocre.
Franco Battiato: Apriti sesamo

Having recently listened to it again, I reevaluated it. I find it an excellent album, definitely his best since 2004. In terms of quality, we are more or less on the same level as "Dieci stratagemmi" and "L'imboscata", between 4 and 4.5.

I'd say more or less above Wrought Iron and below The Umbrella. Let's say around 7,8.
