And instead, she didn’t waste any time, she immediately seized the opportunity! I saw her leaving hand in hand with that African guy who doesn't speak Italian well, but you can tell he gets his point across when he wants to.

Every evening he takes a different one home. Who knows what he tells her. For me, it's the car that matters.
Mother of God, what is this thing?! To think that I actually liked it in high school, a formless lump of singer-songwriter rock. I only save the title track and Dillo alla luna; the rest is something obscene starting from Domenica lunatica all the way to the apotheosis of Vivere senza te. Really a terrible album.
Vinicio Capossela: Canzoni a Manovella
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Crazy and extraordinary album. It starts off strong with Bardamù and its fireworks, continues with heavyweights like Decervellamento, Maraja, I pagliacci, I pianoforti di Lubecca, Suona Rosamunda, Con una rosa, Signora luna, Marcia del camposanto. Additionally, it features three gems in between like Canzone a manovella, Nella pioggia, and Corre il soldato...not an album for everyone, but certainly an impressive and significant one.
What an album! The first part merges powerful tracks like the opener Non trattare and the spectacular Brucia troia, before diving into the childish and playful Dalla parte di Spessotto and the crazy Moska valza. Even Al Colosseo, L'uomo vivo, and Medusa cha cha cha are very enjoyable nonetheless. The second part might lose some immediacy by featuring six ballads, but the great tracks are not lacking, starting from the sensational Nutless to reach the essential diptych of the album, namely S.S dei naufragati and Ovunque proteggi. One of the most important works of the twenty years and one of the best by Vinicio, along with Canzoni a manovella.

One of the best for sure. "Al colosseo" is another one of his monstrous tributes/quotes to Mr. Waits, and that’s just fine. Every now and then he’s brushed against plagiarism, but those are rare cases :D
Vinicio Capossela: Ballate per uomini e bestie
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Even in 2019, Vinicione nailed the masterpiece. Here he gets a bit closer to a De Andrè style concept, especially in the fantastic “Il testamento del porco” and “Il povero cristo.” Many beasts appear: the primordial cow Uro, the pig making its will, a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster wanting to go play in Bremen, a werewolf who has had his feet cut off, the giraffe from Imola, the snail. In addition, there are also big hitters like “Ballata del carcere di Reading” and “La peste,” the most "committed" pieces of the lot. Honestly, I say it, Vinicione is the only recent singer that I connect with on first listens... it may seem strange, but compared to others, I find him more accessible (perhaps because of the perpetual madness in every piece, which I unmistakably feel very close to).
