Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Explosive debut for the greatest band of all time, which immediately proves to be gloriously epic. 9 songs 9 masterpieces.

The best band of all time, for me, is the Rolling Stones.

I listened to them, but I find some of their early albums a bit "stodgy." That said, between 1968 and 1972 they released 4 masterpieces in a row.

The Led Zeppelin created 5 masterpieces in their early albums, the Stones didn’t start off with a bang immediately. Even though I still prefer them to the Beatles.
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Among the first 4 albums of the Zeppelin, this is the most underrated. A masterpiece as well, with that folk breeze that will reappear in IV. However, there are also blues flashes, like "Since I've Been Loving You." Simply unique. Referring to 3. Mr. G needs to sort out the issue with certain albums...

Hi Tony, Mr. @[G] has long created this group Il gruppo 'Immaginifico' su debaser where you can go for reports related to issues with images. You can also ask to be part of it so you can take care of it directly.

But the image and title appear correct when I click on the disk, or am I mistaken?

On my collection, Led Zeppelin I appears.

But what then? Do I have to do something?
  • tonysoprano
    19 jun 16
Now let me explain, in my collection "II" appears in the album name, while it should appear as "III". When I open it, everything is in order. I have also encountered some issues with the albums "Faust" (which when I categorize it, it classifies it as "Fast IV") and "Harvest" (when I categorize it, it classifies it as "Harvest Moon").
Led Zeppelin: Presence
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
The most "metal" album by Led Zeppelin. From the anthology "Achilles Last Stand" (which by the way has the best solo by Jimmy Page!) and "For Your Life".
Led Zeppelin: Houses Of The Holy
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Fifth masterpiece in a row for Led Zeppelin. Dark and moody is "No Quarter," moving is "The Rain Song," and the rest of the album is just stunning. Magnificent.

I also liked it a lot, but I consider The Crunge one of the worst songs by the band.

it's not too bad. There's worse.
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin IV
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Probably the zenith of Led Zeppelin (almost on par with Led Zeppelin I), not only for "Stairway To Heaven," the real gem is "When The Levee Breaks."
Leonard Cohen: Songs of Leonard Cohen
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
The delightful song of a Canadian poet, who with a bittersweet softness recites incredibly light and sophisticated poems, never missing a note, never falling into the mundane...
Lisa Germano: Geek The Girl
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Magical, charming, but also assertive in the sounds it offers. 5 balls right away for this amazing album, thank you Lisa!

And with lyrics that are anything but pretty. Really tough. Lisa, I’m saying. For Cespuglia, enjoy the listening.

In fact, it's better to define it as seemingly charming XD

Very suffering. In addition to the first albums, pay attention to the "Ninnananna per il maiale liquido" (I think) from 2003, a masterpiece.

A Psychopath still makes me cry every time I listen to it!
Lou Reed: Berlin
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Darkest album for Lou Reed, another masterpiece following the stunning "Transformer". The title track is of unparalleled suggestiveness...
Lou Reed: Transformer

"Vicious" and "Walk On The Wild Side" ruin your soul. Incredible album.
Lou Reed: Lulu

if they made an album only on the 60 minutes it could have worked for me... the second cd is useless and the first one is too long for what they had to say. anyway, the garbage is something else

Okay, but this is terrible, quite a lot.
Lucio Battisti: Anima latina
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Honestly, I have no words; I am literally moved. 11 tracks, 11 masterpieces. It's of a sweetness and poetry unique in the genre. It’s the first album I’m listening to from the Battisti-Mogol duo, but what a MASTERPIECE.
  • teenagelobotomy

one of the greatest Italian albums of all time. Battisti-Mogol remains the pinnacle, but the rest is also priceless.

Battisti amazed me a lot, I hope that his other albums are masterpieces too.
It's probably the best I've ever listened to in my life (short)... I still get emotional with the choir...
Luis Alberto Spinetta: Kamikaze
File Audio I have it ★★★★★
Incredible album, experimental, always teetering between psychedelia and folk. Wow, what an emotionally charged song "Ella También" is...

Going on Wikipedia (Spanish), a long article about Spinetta comes up; it seems he was pivotal in contemporary Argentine music just like De André was for us.

No, not right now, I wouldn't enjoy it; I just finished yet another listen of "No 2" by Catherine Ribeiro + Alpès. I'm fried after 19 minutes of "Poème non épique" XD But I saved this definition so I can get it later.

Catherine Ribeiro. From what I gather, she seems to be Brazilian.

These new listens were suggested to me by a very knowledgeable Facebook user about progressive music... he practically knows everything about British, German, French prog and from other countries... he's a sort of guru.

And instead, it is (she and the Alpes) French. Of course, the origins are Portuguese, yes. In fact, the song I posted over there is a cover (the only one on the album) of a Portuguese protest singer, who was also quite politically engaged, named Josè "Zeka" Alfonso, of whom unfortunately I don't know any other tracks. Ah, if you thought that the only crazy ones in France were Magma, you were mistaken. Another group absolutely unique in style and sound. While Vander invented an alien language complete with verb conjugations and grammatical syntax, Patrice Moullet, composer, leader, multi-instrumentalist, and inventor of the Alpes, created and built entirely new instruments, like the Cosmofono (an electric lyre, half lyre-half guitar), for example, producing sounds that are literally one of a kind. Ribeiro is not only a great songwriter (co-author alongside Mallet of many of their tracks, perhaps more the lyrics than the music but I wouldn’t know for sure) but also one of the most incredible voices in the history of "rock." Holy shit.

Electric guitar... do you have any albums to recommend me from these Alpes?

"They're acting too proud" And we, pizza and mandolin all night, uncouth Italians, we sleep, we Germans
  • hjhhjij

Yes. Everyone. Including the first one when they were called "Catherine Ribeiro + 2Bis" from 1969.

Too Fantozzi for my taste XD

Sure, I'll try to see if I can carve out some time to listen to them.

On the other hand, I put a listening on them, this is another example, from the debut Those after the first two, from 1971 to 1975, are better :D
