Iron Maiden: A Matter Of Life And Death
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
A misunderstood masterpiece, an album not for everyone. At first, I hated it, then I ended up loving it.
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, For The Greater Good Of God, and The Legacy are my favorites.
9/10

I completely agree, I like it a lot too. Growing up listening to the Maiden from the 80s and 90s, I know what I'm talking about. I don't consider the "classics" Maiden superior to the latest releases, but I have to say that in recent years I've enjoyed listening to the albums from "Brave New World" onward more, as they are more sophisticated but have a more accessible sound (despite the greater conceptual complexity). My favorite from this album remains "These Colors Don't Run."

Sorry, I meant to say: "I don't consider the classic Maiden INFERIOR to the latest releases."

I went to see them in Milan in 2003, they were on tour with this album. Good, unique, and very polished, but honestly, the best Maiden for me remain those from the '80/'88 period, with great subsequent albums like Fear of the Dark and Brave New World...

...or was it 2006? Now it slips my mind...

2006, hellraiser. The following year I went to see them in Venice. The year they could only perform themselves. Vasco was supposed to close the festival, but a storm struck the camp.

It's strange that there isn't a comment from valeriorivoli yet, at least to wish us a happy new year. I guess we'll have to wait for a definition from the kiss or the cugini di campagna.
