    I remember reading a theory about the success of 883: it was said that Pezzali had such a following because he is basically a loser who sings about his loser experiences, and since the world is full of losers, there were tons of people who identified with his super loser songs. I'm not particularly fond of this band; I've always found them excessively monotonous. However, they have composed some 5-star works, which, in my opinion, are more than enough to define the entire career of this group. This live concert is the most genuine summary of their history. There's more adrenaline in these live tracks, performed by a gritty and inspired Johnson and a virtuously stunning Young. Great performance!

Incredible album. On first listen, the main influences had escaped me, namely a folk/doom very close to Primordial, combined with the black metal of the early Satyricon, but devoid of the northern and dark atmosphere that characterizes the early releases.

Uncontaminated, melancholic, sublime, and evocative: when extreme music becomes musical quality!

Emerging from the darkness that had subdued them in their early albums, and from the Eastern melodies of "Carnival in Babylon," the Teutons take a few tracks to summarize the good they had accomplished in their previous recordings while simultaneously shifting to a decadent and dreamy atmosphere, creating a thrilling "passing of the baton" between prog and psychedelia. They return to fully convince.

    In fact: it was just a way of saying that Carnival is a little inferior to this album, which I believe has nothing to envy from Yeti and the debut. This one is so varied and packed with influences that I find it even easier to digest and more fluid to listen to. Without taking anything away from what they did before, in fact, my favorite remains Phallus Dei.

    Yes, this is very smooth, but I still like Carnival a bit more, Tanz a bit higher, and the first two up there are obviously unmatched, it’s just personal nuances.

...it's not even the fact that he wanted to experiment with pop and electronics, it's just that it remains a damn boring product, where only "Pioggia" and "L'albero" stand out, the latter seeming like a preview of the "minimalsperimental" "Il Ladro" (released four years later). The only truly bad album by Angelo.

    Incredible record this one too (I have the big vinyl), anyway I had already taken the train, it's just that you couldn't see me because I was at the back. It's true that sometimes I switch tracks and someone might get hurt, but the relationship between music and opinions is the same as what a man experiences when interacting with people: he expresses his authenticity, his way of being, his choices, only to discover that in life there will always be someone who loves him and someone else who will hate him to death.     It's a gift from my uncle. I also tried with Aqualung by Jethro Tull, but he only let me hold it (the '71 pressing, a real heart-stopper!); but I quickly put it down because with the look he gave me, he made it clear that he would have bitten my hands off if I even thought about taking it away. I like the bands you mentioned, of course, it's a whole different world and a completely different way of appreciating music. But yes, I like them too...

    Come on, it wasn't a ranking. The Digger have done great work (in my opinion), but they are an insignificant band in the history of sonic evolution. The Blue Cheer, out of nowhere, invented all of this: it’s only logical that the history belongs to them, right?

Alright, another amazing record! For me, it's slightly inferior to Tyranny and Mutation (the absolute masterpiece), but there's still great adrenaline in these eight tracks: the finale of Dominance and Submission feels like the prelude to a demonic summon, and the sinister echoes of Career of Evil are irresistible. A terrifying conclusion with Astronomy, a cosmic and visionary ballad of rare splendor.

Among the most beautiful epic albums of all time. Tetro, dramatic, powerful, and heroic. The metallic whirl of the title track alone is worth the blind purchase. "Prepare for Battle" is also great with its clumsy choruses, and "Hell Whip" is an anguished and claustrophobic descent into the inferno. There's even an unexpected gem: "The Chemist" is pure and ungraceful medieval harmony. The production sacrifices it a bit but in no way diminishes its beauty!

A record balancing between acclaim and criticism. For me, it's very beautiful. Burzum's music is tinged with pagan (almost Viking) hues, set against obsessively linear compositional structures. An evocative first part with decidedly metal sounds, followed by a second part of electroacoustic ambience dominated by the melancholy of the guitars and Varg's spoken chant; worthy of the most inspired pagan bard.

There are also a few songs from the less thrilling Chapter VI, with those annoying little keyboards ruining the dark and rhythmic magic of the music. Essential for anyone looking to quickly educate themselves about the golden years of the band.

    Waterloo Lily is simply better than the most acclaimed In the land of Grey and Pink. The tracks just hit harder and are more beautiful, without taking anything away from the other album in question, which is still great! For me, the subsequent For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night is also good, especially C'thlu Thlu, the end of side A, which is truly a badass piece.
