Perhaps my favorite from the Bon Scott era, an aggressive album, effective riffs, great grit and character. Strange that it is never remembered for what it deserves...

Aquarius27, what's the best for you? I only have Back in Black which I bought recently, but it doesn't do much for me because AC/DC are too "overexposed"; I've always heard them on TV, radio, etc. Let There Be Rock (the song) has been popping into my head for months, but Dirty Deeds seems to be the best along with Back in Black. I don't know...

For me, it’s Back In Black, for many reasons that I won’t explain here or we’d be up all night :)... However, I can’t forget to include among my favorites (all equally worthy), Highway to Hell, Let There Be Rock, Powerage, and High Voltage... The first one is the last with Bon Scott, and it’s truly a great album (many consider it their best)... Let There Be Rock has tracks that will drive you insane; aside from the title track, try listening to "Whole Lotta Rosie" (one of my absolute favorites), Bad Boy Boogie, Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be (the live version at River Plate is something spectacular), and Dog Eat Dog. "Powerage" is their most underrated album... I didn’t like it much at first either, but over time it’s become one of my favorites; just listen to "Riff Raff" or "Sin City" (I mention just these two, but the whole album is amazing) and you’ll understand why!!! "High Voltage" is their album that comes closest to blues... You mention "Dirty Deeds..." which for me is the least good work of the "Bon Scott era" (the albums I mentioned all feature Scott on vocals). It’s a good album, but if you listen closely to the ones I pointed out, it doesn’t hold up in comparison. As you can see, I haven’t included any albums with Brian Johnson (except for Back in Black), because while their style remains unchanged, the records have that little something less compared to the earlier works... Perhaps only, actually definitely, "The Razors Edge" is the best of the post-"Back" era, but a casual listener might not enjoy it as much, while a fan will surely appreciate it more...

However, keep in mind that I'm speaking as a die-hard fan; they're everything to me... My favorite band, so I also appreciate other albums that I haven't mentioned... Since we're on the topic (since I understand you want to listen only to their most successful works), I advise against buying albums like "Fly On the Wall," "Ballbreaker," and "Stiff Upper Lip" blindly, because those are undoubtedly their worst works, and I don't find them great either!!

Yes, I just wanted to buy only the most successful ones. At most, maybe two more. Thanks for the advice, perhaps a bit more than I expected. I still feel a bit lost in an ocean XD. I'll take a look on YouTube. Anyway, I'm definitely leaving High Voltage where it is because I think I've understood what it's about, and I really can't stand it. In the end, the best one seems to be Let There Be Rock, right?

Three must-haves for me are Back in Black, Let There Be Rock, and Highway to Hell, as already mentioned by Aquarius. However, my all-time favorite remains Powerage.

Run away, don't take any of them, they all suck :D Just kidding, I would also focus on the super fun and enjoyable Let There (especially) and Highway to Hell. As for Back in Black, I'd throw it into the first stream that passed by me if I weren't afraid of polluting it.

Well, I agree on that, even though I personally preferred the albums with Bon Scott! I don't know what it has to do with anything, but I just wanted to say it...

The albums with Bon Scott are, I believe, in the hearts of all the band's fans... "Let There", "Powerage", "Highway" (and I always include "High Voltage") are just too important... So yes, it was Scott for life!

I've always liked it a lot, and I particularly enjoyed playing along with it. It's a shame about the very metal production; with a "more Dirt" sound, I would have appreciated it a hundred times more. It still often comes back on in my car.

It’s not a perfect album, it’s not definitive, but it still has some of the most precious gems of the Alice in Chains repertoire. And that’s enough.

Man In The Box, Bleed The Freak, Love Hate Love send chills down my spine with every listen...fantastic debut

For me, superior to Tripod and lower, but not by much, than Dirt. Very raw but less distorted and liquid, more of a direct punch to the stomach (Put you down, I can't remember, Sunshine are tracks that I hadn’t felt at first contact with Alice but that I learned to appreciate a lot), compared to the slow and acidic decomposition of Dirt.

Too many memories. A record I’ve overplayed. But I just can't listen to it anymore today. It’s been years since I even tried again. Anyway, one of the albums of my life, back in the day.

Yes, this is and will remain one of the most beautiful and intense unplugged sessions. Layne is superb, but the rest is no less impressive; tracks like Sludge Factory and Frogs reinterpreted in an acoustic key do not lose any of their dark charm at all.

Beautiful. I had it on VHS. Staley was as magnetic as he was 'tried'. Here the game was clearly slipping out of his hands, having also gone through the same swamps myself and seen the A.I.C. just three years before when they came to Milan for the 'Dirt' tour, when he was still openly 'in control' of his choices. And of his mind. Immense. Part of my (early) life.

I listened to it all the way through just the other day. For me, it's not five stars, but it's very nice, especially the second part...
