    Before recording the album, they secured the exclusive rights to the name, thanks to their well-funded lawyers, forcing the dissolution of a great American band with the same name that had two albums under their belt, far superior to the entire discography yet to come from Wetton & C. When I listened to those two albums, a complete antithesis to the commercial project of four opportunists seeking easy money, I thought, "Not only sellouts, but also incredibly stupid."

    Think of you while this album bores me to tears. And to think I truly have a passion for "Hunky Dory," "...Ziggy Stardust...," "Space Oddity," "Heaten"... I love Bowie, even if I cordially ignore half of his discography and two-thirds of his stylistic turns (particularly the soul of the mid-seventies and the alternative metal of Tin Machine).

An album that has nothing to envy from the Pink Floyd albums. The peaks, in my opinion, are "Murder," "Out Of The Blue," "Cruise," and the splendid farewell "Near The End." A stunning album, the best of Gilmour also because it was released when Waters was about to leave Pink Floyd to continue as a solo artist. And I don't care about the criticisms. ;) ;) ;)
